Gary Husband On The Record

Gary Husband is one of the most gifted musicians of our time. He is a world class drummer and keyboard player. He has a grasp of music that only a select few in history have witnessed. I had the pleasure of meeting Gary in 1992 at New George's in San Rafael when he was on tour with Allan Holdsworth. It was a small club, so I sat at the bar with three other people. I asked how he liked playing with Level 42, and his answer was, "It was fun." I don't know if he meant there was some bullshit behind the scenes, or it really was fun.

Hi David and Gary, one of the best, most positive music interviews I've ever seen. Gary has one of the finest musical philosophies I've observed. Along with his abundant musical gifts he has the positive personality that inspires creative chemistry with fellow musicians. Myself, I want to play with fine musicians, but only those with whom I could become friends. Gary seems to exemplify that type of musician. You are simlarly gifted as an interviewer David.
