My favourite Snow Patrol song .. and one of the best Irish songs ever. The guy is a poet.

I remember the day Scott went missing…and then eventually learning that he was gone…I was crying with you Gary… i still miss him so much! I am so happy your Mom and Dad were in the audience…I imagine your Dad was beaming as he listened! Love ❤️ you! Love and Light…

I respect men who love the women in their lives, acknowledging the imprints they left. I love and respect Gary for his vulnerability and courage as he stands in front of a rowdy audience remembering Scott Hutchinson. He us truly a wonderful and creative man.

Lyrics I Think of Home - Gary Lightbody I remember trips to Belfast On that train that hugs the coast The fields turned quickly into golf course The golf course just as fast to fields It was a callow boast I’ll grant you To know it all when we knew none Those days we walked the streets of Belfast Like our kingdom come had come I think of home I often do You gotta know I love you now In this light how could I not I think of us just silly kids I bet we thought we’d never age And if we did we’d never dare say I remember trips to Derry On the old car’s freezing seats And I know fountain street in winter My grandma’s laugh the greatest noise It’s sure been harder since she left us And none of us have been the same But the light she left is endless And I still see her every day I think of home I often do You gotta know I love you now In this light how could I not I think of us just silly kids I bet we thought we’d never age And if we did we’d never dare say I remember trips through Ireland One caravan, two dogs, the sky My father yelling points of interest Us snotty kids just rolled our eyes The punched-out teeth of Irish history Mistakes were made let’s leave it there There one’s thing we can all agree on There’s beauty north, south, east and west I think of home I often do You gotta know I love you now In this light how could I not I think of us just silly kids I bet we thought we’d never age And if we did we’d never dare say I think of home I often do You gotta know I love you now In this light how could I not

Wow.. makes me want to cry almost every time I´m watching it. Is it just me...or is it quite rude that the people keep yelling and shouting when he obviously struggles not to cry? That really breaks my heart to see...

Amazing acknowledgement of a great man Scott Hutchison. Do you by chance have the rest of this video? Looks like he said some more about Scott after the video ends.

translations for Rebecca include: to tie, to bind, to join ~ ☘☘☘ these sound very appropriate based on your loving description(s) of your grandmother's personality and role in family as well as community.
