He has been like this since he dominated the Norwegian league at 15. The difference now is that Arsenal use him the correct way and also he is given the freedom to express himself in a free role and he also has players around him who understand how he plays, cause I have watched him a lot and in previous clubs they havent really been understanding his smart play. Also, he was never given a chance at Madrid. They had too many midfielders back then. Now he would have gone straight into the team, just like Bellingham has.

I love him as much as anyone, but I feel like he has been well respected. Maybe slightly less than he deserved, but other teams' fans might not see him enough to get how good he is. I don't judge players on the clubs I don't see often. It makes no sense. Dumb ass keyboard scouts see a player 5 times out of the 30-45 games he played this season and think they know his game? It's ridiculous.

@@In_my_own_mind yeah, I don't get how Madrid didn't believe in him. They got an opportunity to see him play as a starter every week in La Liga for Sociedad. They just had too much talent with other CM/AMs Modric, Kroos, and Valverde to give him minutes.

@@lordnignog1688 I mean Camavinga is only going to be 21 this season. He'll likely be class, but it's pathetic he can't accept they made a mistake selling Odegaard. Who cares. It doesn't matter to them. They got Bellingham. They get great players easily just by being a historically great club.

KDB wasn't as good as Oddegard at his age and definitely not captain material , its easy to play for Man City when you are surrounded by world class players , but Oddegard is just 24 and for me he is miles ahead to KDB , Oddegard is a joy to watch, i have watched a few games of Arsenal, and he just stands out on the pitch pure class , he is Ozil 2.0

KDB was much better at the same age. He set the assist record in the Bundesliga when he had nothing close to any world class teammates. Educate yourself.

Odegaard is a class act , he has no ceiling could become one of the greats. But KDB is already one of the greats, I'd argue it would be harder to stand out in a Man City team full of talent, but he's their main man and has been for years. I'm an Arsenal fan , we need to win things before we can compare the two.

The crazy thing is one of martin's greatest strengths is actually leading presses. His positional awareness is top-notch and the presses he initiates are very good

The move to bring in Odegaard by arteta was visionary when everyone else seemed to think he was an overrated kid who was never going to fulfill his potential. 35 million pound! Right now arsenal would not sell him for less than 180 million.

Odegaard is the player of the season so far. And of course Arteta knew he was getting an absolutely player when he signed Odegaard. He’s the heartbeat of this great Arsenal side.

Love the way he says MO is not as good as Silva or De Bruyne - he is considerably younger than both of them - I know one thing for sure - neither of those two were captaining a Premier League team challenging for the title at 24. I would predict it's quite possible Odegaard will eclipse those two over the next five years because he is already more advanced than they were at the same age.

KDB has not got that touch with the ball as Odegaard. He is not close to Odegaard. Martin is x-nutmegs ahead of KDB. Passes - vision - YES, but that silky touch - NO.

Totally agree, he glides around while kdb is more direct and bit more on power. Odegaard feels like those amazing smoth players from the Netherlands.

He has a touch and silkyness kvb doesn't have but doesn't have drive and ball carrying ability or some of the raking assists. But he is excellent and still improving althot was obvious he was class on loan. What Arteta wanted him and I was delighted we got him.
