If Gary decides to quit acting, many people will miss him, including myself. This British actor has been able to amaze us with incredible performances such as, his Norman Stanfield's role in Leon the professional. And despite being the supporting actor, he became the movie's star because of his famous scene where says EVERYONE.

I think there have been times he has merely dialled in his performance (Planet of the Apes, Robocop spring to mind) but when he sets his mind to it he can be really astonishing. From Norman Stansfield in Leon to George Smiley in Tinker Tailor Solder Spy must be the biggest transformation I've seen any actor pull off.

Gary Oldman. Tinker Tailor; Gary is on screen for 5 minutes as we are introduced to Smiley, no dialog just straight acting, looks , glances, reactions, pure genius. Slow Horses; Gary farts so loud he wakes himself up and Jackson Lamb is revealed. Genius!

When I think about who might be the greatest actor, I always end up with Gary Oldman. What makes him so remarkable, imo, is that every character of his is so believable. He doesnt act in character, he creates a character. I think this is a fine line all the way up there only few can cross as frequently as him.

I've always liked Gary Oldman. He's like a chameleon--he really becomes the characters he portrays! Watching this video, he seems exactly like I would picture how he is in real life. He seems very humble and unassuming, and I think if I ran into him on the street, I would never in a million years recognize him. Great video!

When Mr Oldman was staying in Isabella Rossellini's penthouse and I was helping with the terrace plantings, I'd bring my Bull dog Mr Quincey a very large white Bullie with a brown spot.. He loved him, and would get on all fours and become a Bull dog, with all the snorts and Bully moves. He became a Bull dog....

I saw him first in Dracula that we used to watch with classmates a lot and I remember thinking he looks better than Keanu (no offence and I like later Keanu a lot!) but I think I totally fell in love with him after seeing Rosencrantz and Guildernstern.
