Did Gary cheat on Kendra. Is that why it was such a bitter divorce and his kids have turned on him?
@dgroppel10 ай бұрын
@@HH-gv8mx Yeah, I think at first they were just angry because they saw it as their dad leaving them as well as their mom. They couldn't really separate the two. Then I think it came out that he had cheated, but in Gary's mind he hadn't because it was after he had already filed. I think that they see their mom hurt and they hurt and it's easy to blame their dad at the point.

It's funny to me that the comedians that may not say they're conservative, but have a conservative personality style; if we say Conservative=Trauma minus therapy, they all seem to just steamroll once they open up. You're more than changing lives, Neal, you're changing the fabric of comedy!

I feel terrible for the childhood he had to endure and I sympathize with how much that damages a person but he ended up hurting his own kids because he never worked on himself and got real about how messed up his parents were. Saying to your own kid that is expressing to you how much he's hurting "I'm sorry you feel that way" is dismissive as sh*t. Some people just shouldn't have kids. Having gone through so much heartache himself, you'd think he'd be more compassionate towards his children

This Interview must’ve happened Several months ago. Because on Gary’s podcast that just dropped a day ago. He said he has zero contact with his kids. And he sounds pretty hurt and sad about it. I think he needs to use his resources and reach out to.iyanla Vanzant. I think she is the key to bridging the gap btwn Gary and his children. Before it gets any worse.

Just being honest. I did not enjoy Neals comments in this interview. Can definitely tell he wasn't paying attention, asked multiple questions that Gary had already answered. Gary told him multiple times about how his Step Dad felt about him, and Neal kept asking that damn question. I guess he was trying to help people that may only listen to clips, but forget about them!! Just focus on having a great convo! Neal kept cutting Gary off and prompting him to repeat himself, while Gary is a great story teller and had explained it great already. Neal is super cool and funny, just didn't think he focused enough for this interview.

Just empathize with Gary for a minute. He had a fked up childhood, he was like isolated, and he is never wanted or maybe not even loved by both sides of his parents. Hated by both of his step familys. You heard his stories and it's really fked up like he didn't experience what a real "family" is like people that always got your back, people who always support you and love you through thick and thin cause your blood related and that's what a family do. I am really surprised how he came up and grow up to became like this, he has a successful career, he is down to earth, he has good character, he is a "good man" and definitely a funny person. We never know what really happened in Gary's marriage or his life in general but I'll just say this my opinion. He is a very patient and tolerable man, he thinks what's better for the people around him and we know that he sacrificed so much of his life and happiness for the people around him just cause he is thinking and hopes that things and people around him will be better. We never know maybe his ex wife is toxic or maybe she is the "don't care, don't give attention and don't show love" kind of woman. I think Gary would never say anything bad about people especially people who are close to him. I understand that for once in his life he wants what's best for him and wants to find his own happiness and fulfillments. If I have a life like Gary's maybe I'll not live past my 20s and just end my life or maybe I'll just snap 1 day because of the accumulation of disappointments, depression, anger and rage in my life will just burst out and maybe after that I'll just live the rest of my life in jail or prison. On that note, I now appreciate and admire Gary Owen. I hope you sir will get over this trials, reach common ground with your family and people you loved and attain your true happiness. Stay true to yourself and goodluck in everything. I wish you all the best.

I'm with Neal I absolutely would rather a nice lower bowl seat over a suite anyday. In fact I'd take any lower bowl seat. I'm talking Basketball and Hockey because those are the only things I've been in a suite for. Especially if the suite is owned by a big company or a liquor company. When everything is free people get so drunk and I find you don't actually watch the game as much.

“sorry you feel that way,” is the worst thing you can say when someone is giving you a scroll full of shit they think you did wrong. geezus, Gary. 🤦🏾♀️ c’mon, man. i can only image how tough this is but god don’t say that. he’s looking for accountability + to be heard + seen. i know cause i’m the daughter in my own version of this strained relationship situation. “i’m sorry you feel that way,” is so dismissive. it feels just like, “Oh. that sucks; sounds like a you problem. are you done?” not seen, not heard, no accountability. + based on your own words, your kid still keeps trying.
