I'd love a couple of hours 1 on 1 coaching with this guy. I've already started to put a few things in place watching his coaching videos and its made a huge difference. I really like the open stance, and the trigger movement has helped enormously. Previously I was very static on the crease.

Absolutely! He's an amazing coach, improves everyone he works with. Open stance is definitely the way forward - Steve Smith and Labuschagne are proving that

Awesome technique. I was getting beaten up by one fast bowler and was getting scared. Today I tried your technique and was able to easily whack him. Thanks Gary. Raring to try this technique against other fast bowlers.

Hi Gary, Great video. But I go back and across my front goes across along well. Its good for offside play. But when the ball is at my legs. I struggle to play the flick shot. I can’t access leg sides front shots. Any reason why does this happen?

OK, so why trigger move? Why not just start in the "post trigger" position?

Which current or recent players use this trigger movement Gary? I'm introducing it to my game (with decent success so far), would like to be able to see it in action from a pro

As I am loading all my weight on back foot i will able to move front foot easily but will struggle to play square cut and other back foot shots as I can't move that back foot coz it's already loaded

Shift of weight from backfoot to front foot is needed.. I would recommend to view this clip again.. He clearly explained that.. Initially it would be difficult.. Need to some hard practice to master that

@@Mk-br5bj ok but I don't agree coz balance position is must for control and power in batting and balance is achieved only by have equal weight on both the feet not by loading any one foot

Thats why u have to trigger at the right time. If you trigger to late you won't have time to shift your weight forward to then shift back again. Trigger on time then u will be able to see the short ball and to shift forward and then shift back into the shot using the power generated

when you see it short dip your front shoulder at the line of the ball, this will reload the front foot allowing you to push back again

If you have extremely fast feet then I feel that trigger would work. It just looks like that position leaves to much weight on the back foot making it harder to get forward to fast bowling. Its easier to go back from the front foot then to go forward from the back foot. If I was a bowler I would set a 5 - 4 leg side field and target those stumps

Naa, basically this trigger movement is done before bowler releases the ball. A batsman needs to be still during release of the ball. As a bowler, I would rather aim at 5th stump line to get a batsman, with this trigger movement out !!

In fact when u load ur back foot u can move forward easily but as ur back foot is weighted or loaded and u want to make back foot adjustment u will struggle
