During a practice Payton was talking a lot of trash and Xavier warned him not to continue or else he'd face the consequences. I wanted SO badly for Gary Payton to get traded to the Blazers, because he could have pulled THEM over the top, for a championship. I heard how hated he was by teammates. It's one thing to feud with Ricky Pierce, but when Nate McMillan, Sam Perkins, and Hersey Hawkins had bad stuff to say about Gary Payton, then PAYTON is the problem! In 2005-06, I was TOTALLY Pro-Dallas Mavericks, because I did NOT want Gary Payton or racist Jason Williams to win a ring! I have a LOT of Sonics jerseys, but I do NOT have a SONICS 20 PAYTON!
