I met Gary in 2007 and what impressed me most wasn’t his riding, it was his kindness and attention to our conversation. Gary and I didn’t have a lot in common so the conversation was stalling but he continued to try to relate to my conversation. I realized we weren’t clicking and decided to end the conversation by saying “thank you for your time Gary, it was a pleasure meeting you.” And he replied with “likewise, have a lovely night.” He treated me like a peer, the fact that he tried relate changed how I talk to those young kids just starting in bmx. Gary’s has all the talent and non of the ego.

We need more of these types of break down videos in BMX! The people need to know how hard and how much time is spent filming these video parts! Very well done! Congrats to Gary for such a great career thus far! And shout out to Fudger on that sick clip in Road Fools!

The break-downs are mad legit because you guys always nptice both the riding and the filming nuences that I prolly woulda never noticed or thought of which makes the edits even more enjoyable

I loved this! So nice to get the back story and context for each of the clips. Knowing the behind-the-scenes aspects just drives home how great this part was. Also, I loved the reference to the Vic Murphy table. It would be awesome to have a special on epic BMX photos from over the years.

I don't think my comment is surprising, but I would still like to point out what a nice and humble person Gary Young has been on an occasion where Gran Canaria enjoyed watching him ride his bmx.

Not surprising, but totally welcomed. I’m sure Gary will click through all these and appreciate the sentiment. Thanks!

I just realized what building Gary was riding for his ender clip. I didn't notice until now because it isn't being filmed from its most photogenic angle. But wow. No wonder it was a bust. That building is a gem. My understanding is that it's a world famous and architecturally significant modernist building. I have admired the building for its architectural qualities for years. Knowing that the clip is from that building makes the clip even better.

This format is so amazing. Hearing about the dew tour ramp pieces that were 200 pounds going in a van with no seats... Just to get a BS ticket... To having to build TWO dams... Makes that 1 footed flatty so much sweeter. Thank you Gary! Thank you Odyssey, thank you Our BMX
