As brilliant as he is musically, he doesn't get enough credit for his singing voice. Just blends in perfectly with the electronic sounds swirling around each song. M.E. a perfect example.

He uses his voice as an instrument. Tracks like 'Stormtrooper in drag' and 'Noise Noise' illustrate this perfectly. There's musicians and there's Gary Numan.

I don't think anyone can top Numan. NIN is extremely close (in my personal opinion) with the power in their sounds, melodies and lyrical content that rivals Numan's, but he will always be the true Master of Electronic Music. Have you listened to his stuff from 1994 up to now? Bloody worth it, "My Name Is Ruin" is an absolutely incredible track as well as "The End Of Things" and "If I Said". All from 2017.

Gonna sound weird, but as an 80s kid metalhead of course I wasn’t into GN. Listening to this and Cars, it strikes me as so right on the verge of seriously heavy! I always said I’d love a Zakk Wydle cover of “Cars”, and the same for this. (GN singing of course) IMO, GN has a really cool dark edge.🤘🏻 Would be awesome to see GN pair up with Black Label Society and come at this from a completely new angle, like AH-HA came at “Take on me” from a new angle, and it was just FIRE! A better example of what I envision is more along the lines of when Bjork teamed up with Skunk Anansi and did a smoking heavy remix of “Army of me”.
