What would be better approach from your point of view caching list items in Controller or in the Repository? I have a method that does few joins and other stuff and I probably gonna use it in multiple places, thats why I'm considering having it in the repo. Also how you deal with InvalidArgumentException?

I think you're right...if it's gonna be reused, then you can build a repo method around it. Will be pretty good. Not sure what you mean re InvalidArgumentException..can you elaborate a bit, Anton?
