Cow and calf skin leather are by-products of the beef industry. It would be wasteful not to use it. Using fur from exotic and endangered species is another matter. Some hunt for fur because not everyone who lives in cold climates has shops that sells certain weather gear like we have and need to hunt to make money and feed their families. Not really revolting when you think of families with children who have a reason to hunt and wear fur.
