Hey Gary, good stuff! I love finding Japanese games to stick on my SNES Classic. These type of videos help a lot and I'm addicted to them.

Nice work. I knew of 22 games on here. Also number 34 was recently translated and brought over by Piko Interactive and number 64 was ported over on GBA in the 00s

I love this Steamkey. It's INSIDE MY RADIO, a 2015 rhythm-game/platformer with a nice futuristic style from Seaven Studio & Iceberg Interactive. Cheers, Gary!

Another list of 100 games, where I would literally like to play around 85 of them! There's really such a wide selection of great (and playable) Super Famicom games that never left Japan... I'll never understand why. I'm spending a lot of time researching and playing 4th gen games this year. While almost all of the good Mega Drive/Genesis games did come west, not so for Turbo/PCEngine and SNES. PC Engine has at least 200 playable and enjoyable games that are JP-only, but they're mostly shmups and some platformers. Super Famicom clearly had such a wide variety of fun games, both in the catalog that came west and in the very interesting catalog that didn't. It takes a lifetime to play all these games LOL!

That's a bonus for a lot of these stayed-in-Japan releases; they're quite playable for non-Japanese speakers. Some of them even contain full English text. On the other hand, this video lacks any Japan-exclusive RPGs - which are generally not playable for non-Japanese speakers. That's a shame because when researching this list, we discovered quite a few RPGs that looked very interesting - but couldn't get very far in them due to the language gap. Happy collecting!

@@GaryRetroGamer PC Engine has dozens of Japan-exclusive RPG's as well, but it's hard to gauge their quality because almost none of them have been fan-translated. Several of the SNES/Super Famicom ones do have English translations floating around the internet, which is something I definitely want to research more this year...

First off great collection of footage and games. Makes us North American folk jealous of many games that never came here. But there’s some light at the end of the tunnel . Quite a few have been translated with a patch. Secondly a request for a collection list of games that have been translated . That would be awesome !

Rendering Rander and Gundam E.D. ARE A MUST!!!, but there's an agenda not to talk about certain games and to show the Snes as a weak console, which is not. These games i mention are SLOWROM games, NO SLOWDOWNS, NO CHIPS, and only 16megs, hope you're not part of that agenda. More SLOWROM games?, Super Aleste, Flying Hero, Pop n' Twinbee, and also Super Smash TV and TMNT Turtles in Time, but these were released worldwide.

Acredito que seja uma questao de cultura. Talvez pensaram que o ocidente não iriam gostar do estilo de jogos que apenas os orientais gostam. Ou apenas uma questão de exclusividade.
