I’m fresh out of college - drugs are one of the main ways people deal with their shit. Not just “druggies” either and not just alcohol, weed, and ADHD meds. Coke and pills aren’t too far behind - and as they leave college it just becomes more casual and leads to more shit. For kids in college, looking go to college - research how to take care of yourself. If that means listening to Gary or looking for someone else pushing positivity to suffocate the negative thought loops DO IT. I’d listen to his videos every morning just so I could hear a different narrative than the constant doubts that were being thrown at me. A year later I can pinpoint when those negative thoughts come up and objectively observe them and let them go faster. It’s not always easy but it’s so much fucking easier than it was a year ago not wanting to get off my couch questioning my purpose in life. You are worth investing the time - so give yourself it

Gary is right about so many things, one of the best things that ever happened to me, in the long run, was when my sheltered and privileged childhood got interrupted by darkness. I am grateful for all I have learned even when how I learned it really sucked. I went from having no stress to being raped by a relative which completely mentally broke me for years. I ended up having a long road where I tried to cope with unhealthy things like addiction, cutting and then became suicidal. I survived that all to be beaten by someone I loved and then be diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.... (WTF is my life, some moments when I write more than one thing down I forget how much I survived.) I now find myself happier and more confident as ever as I figure out how to manage my health and be able to post more content online. I am so grateful to live in a time where a person can have the opportunity to create a career and business from home as a disabled person. And I am grateful that Gary is there for me those days I need the motivation while my video renders lol. FYI Shameless plug, my channel is all about the truth of my life and how I cope with it. Living in a delusional bubble hurts you and everyone else you interact with, I know this because I lived in one and I have met many people who were far more delusional than I was because they survived far worse trauma. Mental health in the USA and worldwide is a huge issue that might end up leading to the end of humanity if we don't start to recognize it for its truth. It doesn't matter how many times I sat there and said to myself that I was never raped or beaten, those emotional wounds were there on my bubble no matter what I wanted. I couldn't change the fact that for a moment I was the victim of a crime, but after I felt that and fully accepted it I was able to move through it to my truth and find who I am without that pain burdening my mind and soul. I now see that I was basically scared to face the one thing that was my key to mental freedom. The pain was information telling me that something is wrong and I need to change something. If we touch something hot and it burns we don't ignore it- we MOVE ASAP so we can change the situation and feel better. Mental hygiene helps as well (video on my channel for more on that if you are interested). Also, it makes us insecure when we know we are putting someone down because we know its a lie and unless we are a psycho we feel bad about hurting others. Mental health is so important and sadly it isn't as simple as the older ways of suppressing everything nor is it as simple as telling everyone they are great. Everyone needs different things and I find it more important to find different ways to cope that work for each of us and see it as an adventure to try new things. I hope you allow yourself to see the beauty all around you!

I think you just need to over-communicate before you hire them that YOU are the boss (if you are). And that you will be fair but warn them that you are the decision maker and if they aren't prepared for that, then they might not want to move forward with working with you.
@AndramadaFilms6 жыл бұрын
@@DustinNotJustin Agreed. I think it was the mentality of "I don't want to work with you because your name is on it" and i saw it as just the name of my brand. I still work with others but I found it hard to work with friends and have them actually be serious and put in the work. However, you're right. Communicate and lay everything out in the beginning so there is no miscommunication! Some will stay and see the vision and others may not want to move forward, and that's okay! :-)
