It's actually better to retain line pressure... this is an old wives tale from the 90s. The seals don't have to expand and contract as much each time you use the heater. If you are purging the pressure for safety then please revisit step 1.... check for leaks. Service your unit.

I’m about to purchase the Cadac version of this heater and was researching this exact issue others have mentioned. KZbin video “Calor Portable gas heater” by Calor Ireland had a comment explaining it. They’re all basically the same design and branded differently: “w3vy xbillz • 1 yr ago Hii had the same problem basicslly all you need to do is first hit down the control knob (the thing u turn around) and hit the red button once and leave the red button but not the control knob note: u have to hold down the knob button to the setting which has the flame and spark sign on it so basically the top one so u have to hold it on that for about 15 secs after that ull have to switch to the.first setting and leave the control knob if you want to change to higher settings ull have to wait for like 2 mins so the first one gets a bit hot so it can give fire to the other two then push the control knob slightly (if you push it hard ull find urself not being able to switch, so just push it calmly and change to the desired setting. Kind regards”

Guys, I’ve got mine for almost two months and in my experience it works perfectly if you follow the instructions. To turn on: open gas cylinder valve about a quarter turn. Press in AND hold down heater control knob to first position, then press the igniter while still holding and only release from pressing down once the middle panel turns fully blue. Leave in position 1 or increase as desired. If you miss the first time, there’s probably not enough gas in the heater pipeline yet so redo those steps and make sure to stay clear off the heating panel as collected gas can create a little extra flame on ignition. To turn off: always close the gas at the cylinder first and then close on the heater.

It’s normal for gas furnaces to emit small amounts of gas when cycling on. If you occasionally detect a faint gas odor near the furnace during this cycle, you don’t have anything to worry about. However, if you frequently smell gas throughout your home, your furnace could have a dangerous leak.
@yusufswartz4958
@yusufswartz4958 2 жыл бұрын
Keep windows open for ventilation while heater is on...to familiarize yourself with smell,remove attachment from cylinder...open valve and smell do it in open air, reconnect attachment and ignite again, obviously indoors now, if you get the same smell you had while testing outside,you a have a leak...switch of immediately, do a soap test,by using water and dishwashing liquid, spray over gas valve, pipes and regulator ,if you see bubbles, you've fond the problem., but when it's on and smell gas but not the same as outside,it's just gas vapor,you are basically burning out into the air,always open you window, when doing it indoors
