I like One Step. It's relatively inexpensive and no rinse. On brew day I make a bucket of it and immerse spoon, brew paddle and any accesories in it. I also soak my immersion chiller in it to sanitize and at the end of the day use it to clean anything left over. I use it to prep any growlers or the occaisional bottle before filling as well.

I had a few emails/texts saying similar about One Step. I'll get Todd to check it out!

I use CO2 from fermentation to purge sanitized kegs a week or two in advance, no infections yet. Saves CO2 and makes kegging day a breeze. And $65 a month for water, my wife takes long showers…

That's brilliant! The part about using CO2, not the water bill part. lol

I chill my growler before filling and I believe it creates much less foam.

I make Star-San solution in bulk with leftover RO water from my collection. I use 1/2 gallon growlers to store it. 3 mL of Star-San solution per growler. It lasts for months at a time. I use Spray Bottles of Star-San solution all the time, refilling form my growlers. There's no need to be completely filling a fermenter or anything else. Just spray it and let be. As far as bottling, I will clean bottles, rinse them, and then spray them with a bit of Star-San. Then I'l cap them with a colored cap. When I'm ready to fill the bottle, I'll pop the cap, dump the bit of sanitizer, and then fill and cap it with a silver cap. Ready for competition. Seems to have worked ok for HHH competitions and others.

I spray and submerge with StarSan. I also store used StarSan in clean food-grade buckets as long as I used RO water to mix it in and if it doesn't look murky after use. Fun fact, 5 Star used to promote sanitation on the threes. 3 seconds, 3 minutes and 30 minutes for 99.99%, 99.999% and 99.9999% microbial levels of sanitation. I also called them, because I had high pH tap water, about desired pH when mixed. They said as long as its 3.5 pH or lower you should be good. They recommended adjusting with phosphoric acid if that became an issue. Cheerz.
