Are you suppose to apply heat to the hydraulic press on both sides, mine won't go down at all

i read some comment on another bed video mentioning that they thought the gas struts had been painted after asembly at factory so was stuck and they broke that paint seal and was all good after that. i have just ordered a simmilar bed and am already stressing about putting it together lol@@MrFury777

What is the newton force of those gas lift you're using ? I see that you have to hold the pull support when the mattress comes down to close, I assume to prevent it from just banging close instead of with a push on top of the mattress to lock it in. I have just built an ottoman with the same thing. Now I don't know if its a problem with not having the right gas lifts, mine are 1400N, or whether it's because I have a king size mattress with a heavy mattress that is 35cm deep and the gas struts just aren't strong enough to support the complete motion when just opening and just closing, the in between is fine. Ive seen on a set of 16OON gas lifts which I may consider ordering once I can confirm what the cause is...well that's after I go back to the vendor first to explain the issue.
