Yesssss…love you Lizzie!! If anyone here is experiencing this type of abuse, please know that you are worthy of peace and it’s okay to value your own well being. ❤ In my experience, ceasing all contact with the person is KEY to being able to see the truth and goodness of God within yourself…and you will also be able to see clearly the lies that have been planted in your mind. Sending love, solidarity and prayers for healing to you. You got this. ❤️❤️❤️

It’s so easy when you’re in a relationship to not see the red flags. We all want to believe we have good judgment and find the right people to be with. In times when that’s not the case it can be very difficult to say yes this is a bad person I can’t do this anymore. Most people are optimistic they are forgiving they want to hold on to that hope someone will change. I always believed behaviors day to day those things we can change but our character who we truly are that’s ingrained in us. If someone man or woman is consistently manipulative mean or abusive get out immediately it’s just not worth it no matter how much money or time is invested safety must come first.

First ☝️. My woman use this damn word too much and just says it over and over again. And literally is a damaged individual. Professional victim

I agree it has become way over used for sure. When people say gaslighting or emotional abuse or manipulation no one knows what they mean anymore. It used to mean purposefully degrading or hurting someone belittling them saying nasty slurs etc. Now it can mean anything from that to you expressed an unpopular political opinion you leaned in to kiss too soon or complimented the girl in a way she didn’t like. I believe that’s part of the reason issues like this aren’t taken seriously is because we have so many nonsense complaints the real ones just get thrown in that same pile

There were a couple of Hollywood films made of the Gas Light play. I suspect the 1944 movie with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer made the phrase popular.

Growing up, my dad would gaslight my mom, so my mom would gaslight me. When I got older, I started dating a guy who would gaslight me. We eventually broke up, and my sister told me to block him. Now I understand that I was surrounding myself with nasty little liars and I’m strong enough to stand up for myself and the truth.

That’s why Lizzie is unique she finds a way to present information we may have heard before in a light you hadn’t thought to consider it in. She’s super smart and always has a lot of insightful things to say 😊❤

Gaslight looks to be someone who starts problems if you just look at the word.but it’s a word used in manipulation or narcissistic type relationships.

Great points, Liz. This is better than guru wannabes from the Manosphere, Red Pill, Blue Pill, Modern Feminism, and so-called Alphas. Hehe. I never been in a relationship, but I had been gaslighted before. Online trolls, ex-coworkers, fake friends, bullies, and even a couple of family members. When I worked at OnTrac, there were a bunch of gaslighting, and it has gotten worse. God will teach them all lesson. I don’t care who has more money than me, status, whatever, they’re still cowards. I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe, and thank you for this video. Keep on living. 😁

That’s what I’ve always been saying. We have to be willing to admit that anyone can be good or anyone can be bad. So many times if you read one side they say all their opponents are bad and if you read the other it’ll say the same except reversed. The truth is anyone man or woman old or young white black or any other color can be good bad and indifferent. No one group holds a monopoly on evil nor embodies absolute kindness and compassion. There will always be all types of people in all types of places and we have to be willing to see that. Anyone anywhere could be the victim of abuse mental or physical and anyone could at some point become a perpetrator of said abuse. We’re all human beings we’re all sinners so trying to pigeonhole anyone people as all good or all bad helps no one

Thank you Mrs. Lizzie! Very good topic. Along the same lines is Thought Reform/Brainwashing. Some use indoctrination calling it brain washing. Actual brain washing is a methodology and use of various techniques. If surrounded by human trash, they can do this. Which Lifton said quite a bit. Chinese and North Koreans utilized such.

I wanted to write a part of my testimony of conversion to Catholicism in a fb group of discussion between Catholics and protestants, Lizzie's video has an important part in it. But it's an Italian group and the majority of people would not understand an English spoken video
