I think this car will sell fast! Even with a 4 cylinder engine, its still a cool kit car. This is a great summer car, engine doesn't sound much but im sure its fast considering how lightweight it is. And for 5 grand it wasn't even super expensive to bring in. With right tuning and coloring I think this will sell for around 8.5-9 even 10.

Right on....Esslinger Engneering...can get some serious reliable high horse power at that Pinto motor. I had a sandrail with a 2.3 motor... and wanted to buy some of their parts...but it was a modified backyard project, and I had no garage. I Moved on to C5 Corvettes.

It looks pretty cool to me. No need for a turbo, it probably weighs less than 1,500lbs and the exhaust note makes me think the cam isn't stock. I don't have hot rod money but I don't think $7-8,000 would be too much to ask. If I had it, the one thing I would want most is an engine paint job. A white exhaust might set off the purple nicely too. Then a little pinstripe. Lastly, a simplified dash without all the switches and gauges would be nice, especially in engine-turned aluminum and maybe gauges with brass trim. I don't know if investing that money is smart for Richard but it shows that a fun little hotrod could be a $10,000 car if Richard sells it for a reasonable price like $8,000.

That is a road going go cart! Shine up the paint, paint the engine Ford engine blue, rework the exhaust pipe, and drive that puppy. It weighs maybe 1100 pounds so with that little 90 to 110 hp 2.3L pinto engine, it will scoot that thing along quite well. If you really want to do nuts, drop a 300 hp eco boost with the 6 speed from a mustang into it. You might want to upgrade the brakes and suspension if you do that though. I kinda like the existing motor package though. I would rewire it so you don’t have to turn on every switch on the dash to start it.

That's a cool little rod, people in the US always trash talk little motors but here in the UK the pinto engine is a highly liked engine that can be tuned easily and put out some serious horsepower so you guys in US should look into tuning pinto's and get ready to be really surprised by how much power that you can get out of a pinto.
