Thanx for uploading this one, I think I've learned a lot. 👍 I've contemplated leave grind pipes alone recently since they felt like slowing one down (however some of them actually give an advantage imo) but I haven't ever thought about jumping over/missing ramps could help even more. Constant drift boosting and always taking the ideal curve are more like a skill to master, I think we have a long way to go. 😅

I was trying to figure out how the hell people kept getting lower and lower times on me as we neared the end of the challenge and I was getting concerned that I was going to get knocked out of the top 10. And then I looked up this video and saw two things: 0:28: The boosts on the side are a trap and best to just take the corner instead. 0:51: The ramps are traps too and you hop over them to save time. Mind you, I don't know if saying "Going from 1:43 to 1:42" noteworthy or not (will find out in two days), but at least I like to think I have placed myself into a slight better position to try and get the full rewards when the event ends. thank you for posting.

hi, very great run but I do have some question after I watch another of your videos. Why did you avoid jump ramp cause it will slow the car down?

Hey! Going up the ramp slows you down, so by the time you are in the air your speed is lower than before. However going up the ramp when boosted and doing stunts in the air gives some boost, so some times it's faster overall to go up the ramp. I'll go into more detail in future videos

If you're already boosting when you hit the ramp, doing a trick will give you enough extra boost to make for the time loss on going up the ramp. Otherwise, yeah, jumping over something is always faster than driving up it.

At 1:26, did you jump to hit the "fake purple wall" instead of the wall because its faster ? Or to be bumped further away to take the turn ? Or both ?

The best ive done is 1:38. How are you continuously drifting and not swerving at the wall. Its like youre drifting in a straight line. For example at 45 secinds on that straight away you let go of your drift and got the opposiye direction on the next drift, but stay straight. When i try that i hit the wall or fall off that ledge.

yeah that part has very tight margin to pull it off. you need to go back to 0:41 to see how the drift is setup at the rightmost part of the road and it is still barely not touching the wall by the end. On the second lap at the same part (1:25) I didn't start the drift right enough so I needed to jump to not hit the wall

@@matheusmarx5994 Literally every racing game has advanced mechanics such as these. That's why speedrunners get the top records. Name any racing game and I can guarantee you that folks with the top records are incorporating anything along the lines of physics exploits or drift braking..etc.
