High permeability will have low settlement (in low load) Less permeability will have high settlement (in heavy load) But high permeability will give low settlement how it can tell you permeability means the voids will present water can flow . On that time water is present there it was incompressible, so low settlement In case on that time air willbe there may be occured high settlement in high permeability

Y are not we considering the submerged density value when water table level is at ground level

Its says WT is 10m below ground level. If it was on the ground level, yes, submerged unit weight has to be considered.

@12:45 sir there is no above the load how it you consider the total stress as 16*10 actual there is no load ,so have to consider the zero

The section should b considered below the ground level upto a depth of 10 m so ..that much ground weight is acting on the section...thatsy ..sat unit wt*depth =16*10
