In portal rigid frame, which is prone to be swayed in horizontal direction, top two joints may displace in horizontal direction evenif top horizontal member is not extensible, hence DELTA X can not be taken as ZERO during determining degree of kinematic indeterminacy. Further , you are seen using word ‘deformation’ in this video , which is wrong. You should use word ‘displacement’ in place of it, since displacement and deformation are two separate phenomena.

Sir , as for static indeterminacy you took a vertical load on beam & analyse it by ignoring Fx , you consider on two equilibrium condition in that case , Fy & Mz, But sir in case of Kinematic indeterminacy you didn't analyse beam with load , so I'm getting confused which term should I considered or ignor in Dk formulae please Explain about that .
