GATEFOLD FOLIO EMBELLISHMENT BOOK TUTORIAL Part 1 of 2

In this tutorial I will show you how to make an embellishment book. This is part 1 of 2.

**** PLEASE NOTE: There’s something I wanted to tell you about that first magnet that goes on the vertical waterfall at 33:35 ...it’s not wrong but it should go on the top of the flap instead of the back. If you put it on the back of that top flap it will require you to layer that back piece...unless you don’t mind the magnet showing.
TIPS:
-If you wish to use magnets, I would recommend magnets that are 1mm X 8mm (1mm thick and diameter of 8mm). You can go bigger or smaller in diameter but 1mm thick magnets are the best! Here is an example of some that I got on AliExpress...maybe it will lead you to better listings as prices change all the time: shorturl.at/glyGY
-When decorating the book, I left a 1/8 inch border on each side.

Very beautiful I am currently making folios to hold all my embellishments, cutouts etc because I am fed up with them in book cover folders and wanted something prettier on my shelf. THIS is very pretty. Love the little box envelope idea tfs

Hi Sheryl! I have a tutorial on how to make shakers. The only difference is that instead of backing the shaker frame onto a solid piece of cardstock, you'll back it onto the acetate on your book: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mn7VpGWAgq6ii8k

Hi. Why don’t you use liquid adhesive for all the project? Why do you use score tape in some areas, is it stronger?

You can definitely use liquid adhesive, especially if it’s strong and doesn’t wrinkle your paper. I wouldn’t say the score tape is stronger. I like it because there’s no need to wait for it to dry, it doesn’t leave wrinkles and cheaper in my case since I make so many of these projects. My go to liquid adhesive is just as good, if not better but expensive at about $9 for a small bottle. The liquid adhesive will even give you wiggle room in case it wasn’t placed so straight as it doesn’t dry immediately. It’s just a matter of preference 😄
