Your video was smooth, clear and enjoyable to follow. I commonly listen to videos while working and yours are easy to listen to and glance over and clearly see what is going on. Thanks

18:43 - If you put a barricade in front of the tavern instead of the gate the Flyclops wouldn't escape but kill itself in the barricade. You see which monsters are going to attack and plan your barricades accordingly. 20:00 - You can kill the Lost Corpse and then use the Bishop. Also you can NOT leave a Hero for later - if you draw a Hero you must "use it or lose it" (confirmed by Jason on BGG).

Yeah I realise that generally the plan is to put barricades Infront of buildings you expect to be attacked 🙂 Good spot on that particular instance though - definitely what I should have done 👍

Oh, one more thing: If a enemy leaves undefeated it does 1 damage directly to the GATE instead of the place it usually would attack! 19:55

I ordered the same package of three and was very excited when I finally received the tins this week. Nice little playthrough of a lovely little game - wasn’t as fortunate as you with my first three games. However I got a pretty good run with Tin Helm! 😁 In case you are actually wondering: Can you separate the Gates expansions from the basic game if you want to? The answer is you can: If you look closely, all the cards in the expansion cleverly have a tiny little drop of blood under the symbol at the top right! (I think one of the two Gates setup cards also mentions this.) 🔍

Awesome - they are small games but probably one of my most anticipated purchases of the year. And good point re the expansion symbol - I'm still too lazy to ever separate them out again though 😛

Hi! I really enjoy your videos. I am pretty new to this Print and Play stuff. Can you tell me what kind of printer and what kind of paper do you use to print games like Iron Helm, Desolate or similar ones? What you have printed looks pretty good. Or do you have any tutorial for this? Thank you

Hi - glad you are enjoying my playthroughs! I don't have any tutorials on the subject of printing and playing. 'Dining Table Print and Play' here on KZbin is a good place to start. My printer is a bog-standard deal, nothing special at all. My process is to print out backs and fronts, use mounting spray glue to stick to card and then cut out. Desolate is printed on cheap and cheerful normal printer paper. Iron Helm I sent away to be printed at a printing company (and then made the cards myself), so that paper (and print quality) is better for that particular game. Have fun printing and playing!

@@lone_adventurer Thank you for the info! Could you detail a bit the "stick to card" thing? Are blank cards available for sale? Or are you using some sort of cardboard that you cut yourself into "blank card" size and than glue the printed paper front and back to it? What thickness of cardboard is good? Do you have any names/examples/links of this type of cards/cardboard so I can search online and see what is it all about? The rest is pretty clear. I saw some games here on your channel that I want to try out. And the hardest is when you try to print and play for the first time :)). Thank you again for the help!

No worries! I'm sticking the entire A4 sheets (card backs and fronts) to an A4 sheet of card, trying to make sure that they line up properly (which doesn't always work out). I would say just...regular card :) Cheap and cheerful A4 card. It doesn't have to be particularly thick - once it is combined with the paper on the front and back it ends up being a satisfying thickness. Its definitely worth having a search here on youtube - pretty sure I watched a bunch of instructional videos on here when I was starting out!

@@lone_adventurer Thank you very much for all the info! I will further look into it as you say, but you also made some very good points. It is good to know that printing on a regular printer or getting high quality prints at a printing center and than sticking them to regular A4 cardboard gives good results. I will try this out, and keep watching your videos to find more cool games to print!
