I also have same doubt few others are having. Since the hypothesis is fever-yes and fever-no, then we should calculate the probability of fever or no fever, given the evidence i.e. covid and flu. It makes no sense to me to calculate conditional probability for no evidence i.e. no covid or no flu. There may be gap in my understanding though.

When it is given that we need to calculate person(flu,covid), then as you say we need to determine whether a person has fever if he has flu and cold. But in negative probability, you have taken flu no case and covid no case. I didnt get why you did so ?

​​@@xoxo4385based on the hypothesis given it is flu yes. So it makes no sense to calculate flu = no | fever = no. Its actually an mistake over here. We need to calculate flu = yes | fever = yes. Same goes for covid. Also in case of covid he calculated covid = no | fever = no while we are supposed to find out the class based on covid = yes. So it should covid = yes | fever = no. In a nutshell, we only need to calculate the conditioal probabilities of the different output classes based on same hypothesis. Then compare those and... higher one wins
