Jim and I wanted to get away for a quick trip and decided on Gateway Colorado! Gorgeous place!! Canyons, biking, UTV's, a Bentley and lots of good food and relaxation.

YES!! It was amazing! And seriously......outdoor showers are EVERYTHING! (Kinda weird at first, but wonderful!!) And yessssss!!! The movie Cars MUST have been "filmed" there! I think I saw Lightening McQueen! LOL! Jim says "hi"!!

Yay for the purse! I did that once with jewelry and thankfully got it back too. The place you stayed was beautiful what a lovely relaxing trip. Thanks for sharing.

I'm seriously still horrified that I left the bag there!!! What was I thinking?? (or NOT thinking??) It ended well, so "lessons learned"! :)

Such a beautiful resort and places to see!! Love that you are such an adventurous couple. I did hold my breath on the roads with no guardrails...YIKES! Glad you will get your purse back.

Awe that's right in my backyard!!! You should fly into Grand Junction next time, much closer!!! We love that resort, and my hubby loves the car museum. We have flown in on the helicopter a couple times and landed right in Gateway. Hope you enjoyed your vacation and I wouldn't worry about your bag, they are the absolute best staff there!!!

Gorgeous area!! We used United airline miles to fly this time and they don't fly to Grand Junction without a stop and a plane change, or we would have done that for sure! I got my bag back in perfect condition! You are right...the best staff there! :)

They do have a place at the resort for people to take helicopters and/or airplanes to view the canyons! That, plus the car museum and the Driven Club should do it!! :)

Great review, Jen! Questions for you about the resort: 1. How much is it to rent the luxury cars? Do you have a limited range or once you rent it it's yours for the day? 2. Is the food at the restaurants good? 3. How much to rent the ATV's/Razors? Is it a guided tour or are you able to roam free with them? 4. Would it be a good place for a family retreat (14 adults, 20 kids ranging from 21yo to 5 yo)? Thanks!

What a great trip! Hubby love the car part! We love Arches too and all of Canyonland and to be able to stay in your own casita! What a treat! And glad you got your sweet Chanel back!
