Thanks so much for this video!! Im 48 and gonna try tacing bmx this year for the first time since 1983. I need a place t o practice as a beginner again. Was just gonna go race and see what happens but im definitely going here first. Im only 10 miles away in Vancouver Washington. Any gate fee or anything i may want to know before going there? Definitely wait until ot gets a little dryer out. Been wet snd snowy

Oh awesome! No, it’s free to go there - the parking is a little challenging, but as long as you’re on your bike, you can ride the path to get there. Not too bad, though..

I come from Hood River usually weekly to OHSU for chiro appointments and see this on my way. Got a broken thumb n am missing all the 'tack alert' conditions up in Post and else where .. saw a huge pile of fresh dirt a week ago there .. more building ?

Rebuilding the top section after they finish building out something for the city, from what I’ve heard. The bottom section is all intact, though!

I like to think that that was totally intended as a trials area. They don't have to label it as such; I assume people who can ride trials know good features when they see them. I mean, it's kind of weird addition to an MTB park otherwise.

I'd like to think so, too - the rocks were too perfect for a session. Beyond that, there are a bunch of rock features around the park that are also perfect for riding on. Someone definitely knew what they were doing!

@@SuperRiderTV So, I finally made it out there today, and I have a couple of observations: (1) You can have the whole park to yourself if you go there on a rainy Xmas morning, and (2) Sadly, the signage for the "nature play area" or (whatever they call it) explicitly forbids bikes, skateboards, and RC cars. Wondering who we can lobby to get this changed... For bikes, at least...

I’ve seen some people on onewheels there, just cruising around. The park is a little hectic on weekends, I’d suggest giving a shot during the week if you can!

I was there yesterday and there was almost no one there, maybe two other people. I even commented to someone that the small concrete pump track(intended for skateboards...maybe?) looked like it would be sweet for RC cars. Just show up when no one is there. Note that its hard as shit to find the entrance to this place and you have to walk in. No nearby parking lot.

I have a question can you take the max there cause my mom has been planing to go there with me cause she has a very hard time driving in the highway and freeways too so yea can you take take the bus or the max there

Yes - you can take the Max to the Gateway Transit Center stop, and then it's about 1/4 mile on the bike path to get there. Probably the best way to do it, actually. If you drove, you'd still have to ride on the bike path to get down there from either direction.

This park is okay not as good as people say it is. It more for Dj bikes & kids. If you have a full suspension mtb don’t go here just go to rock point.
