I think Gauge 1 is the same scale as Thomas and Friends models! Very cool video.
@MrBramMoos7 жыл бұрын
I think it is a bit different in scale but it could be that they run on the scale track 45 MM.
@showboyninner4 жыл бұрын
ChicagoLTrain115 you are correct, they were Gauge 1

Those are NICE train Sets! All of them! And they run on proper steam. From what I guess anyway. I like that!
@MrBramMoos8 жыл бұрын
Nearly all of them are live steam which makes it so atractive.

fantastic layout. love the red tank engine :-)
@MrBramMoos9 жыл бұрын
The red tank is a Midlandrail Tilbury tank engine from a Paul Forsyth design made from the kit of Keith Cousins. It always runs great.

+MrBramMoos That's a pretty loco, runs well too.
@MrBramMoos8 жыл бұрын
Indeed it is pretty and I love to run it, the only disadvantage is the lag of an axlepump.

MrBramMoos I was dragged up in Farnborough and remember the Bulleid pacifics well. I recently built an Aster Merchant Navy. I now live in Greensboro, NC and am constructing a track. I have an elevation change of 4'6" to content with and so a lot of it will be effectively a viaduct. Because of this, I am building every second support in brick. I don't expect to see it complete before the end of summer though.... I also have a pre war Basset Lowke Stanier Mogul that runs very well, it can manage about 1/3rd of a mile per fill so I will be using dual gauge track.

Exactly what would this gauge 1 be equivalent to, in terms of scale ratio. I can't get a good reference point of view to compare it to HO, O scale or O gauge ,or maybe S. Thanks
@MrBramMoos6 жыл бұрын
The scale ratio is 1:32 but also 10MM scale which is approx. 1:30,5. The first one is a world wide scale and the last one is used a lot in England. The 1:32 scale is now adopted by most producers from Gauge one material. I hope this is waht you wanted to know. Keep them steaming Bram

bonjour! qu'en est-il de la vitesse? est-elle aussi à l'échelle? merci.
@MrBramMoos8 жыл бұрын
Hello The scale is 1:32 scale and the speed is aprox. scale speed, I think it is 4 to 5 KM per hour. I hope this is what you wanted to know.

How do you maintain the track in winter?
@MrBramMoos8 жыл бұрын
Autumn is the worst part because of all the leaves, but once they are gone everything is fine and we run all winter when it is not to cold. If you look back on my channel you will find shots from snow running which is something special to me.
@aigen568 жыл бұрын
MrBramMoos thanks for reply, must be of a high standard gauge 1 track. Peco i would gather.
