I have just bought one of these, I think mine was built on a Friday afternoon, firstly the buffers fell off as in your video , then the couplings, I found the only loco strong enough to push it was a Wren 2-6-4 tank so I adjusted the pad to take pressure off the track and the threads went in one of the adjustment screws I'm also finding the cheap plastic wheels drop down and of course won't turn until pushed back, the cleaning pad now sits at an angle and only touches the track at one end, now most locos will push it and YES it does clean the track well so it's nice to finish on a good note, thank you for your review and I'm pleased your having better luck.

Hi Jason- Thanks for the video and I was looking to get one and your review has confirmed it for me. I think that working in tandem with the good old track rubber will work fine for me. Re pads I note Hattons sell the spares so I think I will order those too Cheers Kev

I’ve got the CMX, which I run with cleaning fluid.. but this seems like a good option for a quick clean! I see they’ve just announced it in RTC livery. So hmm, tempted. Cheers. Dave

I have seen they are now doing an RTC livery version, so tempted myself to get another. They are very good for the money, i wouldnt be without mine.

hi Jason... looks like a great track cleaning car (wagon) but i do have 1 suggestion...always push the car..the reason is that if you pull the car the loco is picking up some of the grim...just my 2 cents..thx for sharing.. vinny...BTW..thx for joining in my live stream last night & great news that you might be coming to Strausburg next may

Just got one of these wagons, but my new hornby john tilley class 97 wont pull it, that is until i took out all the 3 weights out of the wagon, seems like your loco pulled it no problem

Hi Paul, yes a good powerful loco is required to pull it. Not sure if removing the weight will reduce the effectiveness of the cleaning pad though.

I run mainly hst’s so they are no good and wouldnt look right anyway and i have a 040 loco, so that will never pull it, would a hornby class 66 pull it?

Only a loco with a good weight to it to assist traction and preferably full axle drive too.

I don't get why gaugemaster, a British company, would produce a model with in Network Rail, also British, for a mainly British audience in HO.
