Thanks for sharing your knowledge. There are two mistakes. Min. 6:35 - active power has a different shape A*(sin(theta))^2 Min. 13:25 - a power factor of 0.8 means: 80%=active power, 100%=apparent power, (apparent power≠active power+reactive power; apparent power^2=active power^2+reactive power^2)
@袁佳诗2 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about the same thing. PF of 80% does not mean the reactive power is 20%. in fact Q/S will be more than 0.2 if run the calculation.

@Ranjith48415 жыл бұрын
At 13:23, 80% active power doesn't mean that remaining 20% would be reactive. Because, S is not equal to P + Q, but S is a vector sum of P and Q. If S = 100 kVA and Power factor = 0.8, then P = 80 kW and Q = 60 kVAR (not 20 kVAR, which is 20%).
@madagalaharivardhan94124 жыл бұрын
how 60 kVAR came explain plss
@priyambandyopadhyay65752 жыл бұрын
@@madagalaharivardhan9412 , use the vector addition. YOU WILL GET THE ANSWER. S= P+Q, DON't rely on this formula, use the triangle law of vector addition.

Great video but gotta say that capacitor and inductor are linear elements unless their c and l values vary over time. That's because C=charge/voltage and L=flux/current which are linear relations. They can only alter the phase but not the frequency of the input. That's why you get a constant impedance when you divide voltage by current.
