So helpful as always. Specifically the 3D model made it extremely understandable. Thanks indeed

If we are planning to phase out SF6, then what can we replace it with in these DCBs?
@EdEOS8 ай бұрын
This is cool, what about the visual proof of the specific circuit isolation from the rest of the circuit? ( maintenance folks always want to see that) and clearance ground to the disconnect switch?
@GauravJ8 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, With DCB there is no visual proof!

Is the lack of visual proof a big negative? How can you be sure it is isolated before earthing? Current transformer to measure the current downstream or something else?

How these C.B. CAN BE USED FOR EHV LINES IN GREED ? Supply is present from both side. These can be suitable for Transformer breaker, but not for ICT.

TRADUCCIÓN: "One disadvantage I can find, for example, in a 220 kV substation of a generation plant, is that in order to perform maintenance on its output power transformer, I would also need to take the transmission line out of service. With the old configuration, I can open the circuit breaker, open the bus disconnect switch (on the transformer side), and close the ground disconnect switch on the transformer side, keeping the transmission line energized. With the current configuration, having only one ground disconnect switch, I wouldn't be able to ground while the line remains in service."
