Distorted view , lacks basic understanding .those who cross all the cutoff criteria from prelims to final merit list in descending order as per the total marks , no of unreserved seats or open seats comes first irrespective of the community , the notion of reduced general seats is utterly wrong , the general seats are open to all. This happen in all competitive exams . As more and more candidates from reserve community performing well , there in increasing trend of such candidates coming in open list . It’s grossly distorted view that general seats have been reduced . Correct view is competitions have become tougher .

Seats isiliye b reduce hua hai kyu k railways k non-tech vacancies cse exam se hat chuka hai year 2020 se and ese(ies) exam k b vacancies kum hua hai for tech graduates ...railways ka seperate exam hoga IRMS for combined technical and non-technical cadre k liye in near future for betterment of working management of indian railways

Do you mean to say UPSC= just IAS & IPS,what about other A grade and B grade service that are facing significant cut. Restructuring is of various types..what is being done in Railways and Ordinance is privatisation so yes precious seats have been taken away from UPSC,,not everyone clears to become an Ias & Ips.I see people just blindedly lauding the video..IAS & IPS are most essential to run a govt..these people just follow the dictates of govt and force their decisions on general population without them govt machinery can't run.The fact is this arrogant & radical govt doesn't care about education and jobs..the future of the country is dark. Are bhai mai bhi aspirant hoon preparing since last 2 years.Admi bano bhakt mat bano kisike..no offence meant to 'Sir'.P.S- Its not an UPSC interview i have the full freedom to be politically bias.

I feel very sad sir, even you can see since many years the number of IAS seats is constant. We know we are growing exponentially. One IAS is not able to look into all departments of a district. He is involved and deployed in ample number of departments. Unfortunately, if he/she is corrupt, he will exploits all the departments. Sir, I belong to Siwan Bihar. IAS from my districts hardly (Once in 3 years) visits a school or construction work going on. Don't you think, we should increase the number of seats as per increasing population.

If new reservations are being included then the govt should raise vacancies as well. In 2017 , last rank closing for General IAS WAS 105(980 vacancies) In 2018, last rank closing for General IAS was 92 (796 vacancies) In 2019, including EWS reservation, the last rank closing for General IAS WAS 77 (800+vacancies) God knows what will happen this time with only 712 vacancies + all reservations. A normal general category student woulf have to get a rank under top 50 to secure an IAS. For us it has become a complete game of luck.
