I first discovered him when “this is England” came out and this was back during MySpace days. I searched him up and asked for lyrics to this song since I couldn’t find them online, and he so kindly send them to me. I’m so sad to hear he’s passed ❤

Its a crime he is not much more popular. I found out about him also after watching This is England, ever since he is my favourite songwriter and there is something so special in his voice and performance. He has a special place in my heart, as far as im concerned he will never be forgotten.

God knows I love you You are an original I came without reason So bitter, so free You were born by the river But you've never seen the sea I stood at your tombstone I felt alive A vision between us A sun in the sky I weighed up your madness In scales of degree You lived your whole life But you never saw the sea

Small Time sessions is the one album I want by Gavin Clark. I have Sunhouse, and the later Clayhill releases including the EP's. I also have a rare Sunhouse Poster of the Sunhouse Chipshop in Stoke. Only heard 3 days ago about Gavin's passing and still finding it hard to get through the day without getting upset. Such a genius, but so fragile. And to the guy who said he is his son's best mate. tell his son to keep playing that guitar and make us proud by playing some of his Dad's songs.

The EP is worth getting. It has the best version of Fallen Flower in my opinion. R.I.P. Gav. Missed daily....

The acoustic Album Clayhill is my Favorite, but I love the stuff one the Movie soundtrack and not so fond of the Sunhouse Album versions so if anyone has The Small Time sessions please contact me

+Tyler Vanner I'm sad and embarrassed to have not realized that the Sunhouse chip shop was in Stoke despite living here. Do you know anymore about it? I think Gavin lived in the Stockton Brook area of Stoke. I wish I could have met him. The rarest and unique of artists. Hope you get hold of Small Time sessions

He said it was a Chinese restaurant will try to post a picture of my poster on here but it has been put away for safe keeping for quite a while. So will try to dig it out.
