I watched Shaytards every day when I was in 7th and 8th grade. Life got busy for me. I heard about the family issues and it made me feel conflicted about a family I had looked up to. But after watching some recent videos, knowing these moments are somewhat prepped behind the camera, the happiness in Colette's face and Shay's, and their kid's, is heartwarming. We never know what goes on behind closed doors, but I'm convinced this family is working through everything the best way they can. Their smiles feel genuine, to the point where I get goosebumps when everyone is on screen having a good time.

I know, I spent years watching him grow up from childhood on in Los Angeles as they rode bikes in their back alley. I have decided I never want kids but watching sontard, princesstard, babytard and even parts of rocktard grow up make me feel like this weird extended family to them ❤️

As the cheater in my relationship, I know it took a lot and I mean a lot of work to get were they are at now. And they don’t have enough time behind them yet. This was a traumatic event in their life and it takes so much time. I cheated almost 15 years ago and I don’t think my husband and I could sit down and talk through it again. It is painful every time it is talked about, thought about and I can’t imagine putting all that out for anyone to watch and judge!!! But they are definitely use to people talking about them and it would probably help people.

I truly feel like, minus the last few years, I got to watch these kids grow up and watch Shay and Colette go through their victories and trials and still come out stronger in the end. I think of a particular Christmas vlog, or family vacation, or what animals were around at a certain time, and I can pin point exactly what stage I was at in my own life. As it's been said in the comments, I grew up watching you all the majority of my life, I heard about the rumors and the theories and saw the headlines but through it all, I chalked it up to be your whole lives were spent on all the time, you never really got to be off. So when that moments approaches where life makes you be off and suddenly tough talks are forced to happen, situations nobody ever thought possible have to be worked through, it flat out knocks the wind out of your sails but when you acknowledge you're in a storm, take responsibilities where need be, listen and communicate with those by you, you come out so much stronger in the end and thankful that storm happened. I knew y'all would come out the other end because one thing rings true no matter what anybody has ever said... you're sole foundation and priority is family and I remember even in vlogs where harder talks had to happen, you taught the kids and all of us watching, value in communicating even if it's something hard to vocalize, that it's better than lying and that advice always stuck with me throughout my life. Huge congrats to Gavin, it's so wild to see the last two littles growing up!! I'm so proud of y'all for being who you are and raising such wonderful kids. Much love always!

I love the glee rendition of Home. Such a good end for these graduates. I hope Gavin continues performing. I remember him straining on some of his vocals when he was younger. Now he’s much more confident.
