If you and he actually understood it as myth, maybe you'd have something worth actually making a video about. Maybe you or he could get into a discussion about the evils of the Greek word 'Techne'. Or maybe still, you'd realize the STORIES are a progression...or a constant chain of re-worked stories that all contain the same theological messages, with minor adjustments for the times. The three days Jonah spent in the 'big fish' is the same theologically as the 3 days Jesus spends before being resurrected. Neither are true in the literal sense. But so many schizoaffectives/schizotypals are prepared to see the Jonah story as 'religious allegory', but not the Jesus story... You have an adolescent understanding of the religion, as does he. I find it comical that you think I cannot be a Christian because I don't understand it in the adolescent way that you do. You clearly have a terrible understanding of early Christianity, especially Docetism... Imagine people coming out just a few years after Lincoln lived, and claiming that Lincoln was just a 'phantom'... It was declared heretical by what was already a corrupted Church because significant numbers of people can't see that Mythology can actually be profoundly TRUE in ways that they don't understand or that they cannot (yet?) comprehend. They'd rather it remain a 'mystery', whereas people such as myself think there is far more value in pointing out that it's myth. Physical attractiveness, without a corresponding intellect, is a major turn-off. Being 'pretty' or 'handsome' is not a skillset. And I don't know what the hell happened to people to where so many have forgotten middle school BASIC English. 'You' + 'Are' = "You're", not "your".

@@masonm7534 I don't have to respect beliefs that are ill-founded. Nor do you. We should both respect logic. It's the difference between 'thinking' and 'believing'. 'Reasonable' is not hard to define. The problem is that there is, and has been for some time, an active ongoing attempt to dislodge us from our country's founding which was based on the tenants of the "Enlightenment" or sometimes called the "Age of Reason" -- in an attempt to usher in a neo-Romanticism. That which is based on logically valid steps is 'reasonable' (with a check for so-called Gettier cases as well), and that which is based on fallacies is 'not reasonable'. And this is not only objective, but can be learned in any modern university logic class.

This message brings me joy and hope that this young generation will seek God and give Him glory. I will buy the book Gavin recommended, not only for me, but for my young daughter who absolutely loves Gavin. She is team Jeremiah all the way!! Interesting that they chose the name of a prophet to represent his character in the series. Perhaps he requested this, but I’m in awe! My prayer for Gavin is that the Lord continues to fill him with His wisdom, knowledge, and love so that He may speak through him and enlighten this young generation that is looking up to him right now. For as Jeremiah 29:11 states "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". I've said it before. It is soo refreshing in this day and age to see young actors giving glory to God, and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I don't know much about Gavin's other roles, but to me, he will always be Gabriel. I truly believe there should be a sequel movie or even a television series, I AM GABRIEL II....THE RETURN TO PROMISE. The story can be that God decided to make Gabriel grown up thus explaining Gavin and Gabriel's growth spurt from age 12 Gabriel to age 23 Gabriel. Oh I'm just ranting, sorry.
