In a more conservative society like Korea, what does it mean to be gay and HIV positive? We spoke with Ju Yong, a HIV positive KZbinr raising awareness for this issue.
Thanks to Ju Yong for sharing his story.

@Impreeza We have a disease that we don't want. Disease isn't a moral issue, it's a sign that you need to take care of yourself. You have to keep your life in sorrow, just as all the sick do. Wow! Thank you! I leave a comment, and then I leave a little more. I don't know what the best words would be, so I leave what I heard from the university professor. I wrote the original document Groro that you wrote in the video. It's a hard-to-receive video. I've seen a lot of comments from fans Thank you very much. Thank you for editing many words with your gold hands and for giving me a lot Be always healthy in body and mind. (A rough translation from Naver Papago translator)

Thanks to Ju Yong for being so open and willing to educate others in the face of such stigma and misinformation, and to Asian Boss for doing such a great interview! I live in the US, in San Francisco, and have done HIV work most of my adult life (and I am not a young man!). As I read some of the comments it reminds me of how much the general public is either uninformed or unwilling to bother to think about the complexity of the issues involved. And in places where there is heavy stigma around HIV, being gay, and sex in general it is very difficult for people to feel good about who they are, what they like to do, and then openly take precautions (to prevent getting HIV or prevent spreading it). That is crushing, and needs to be addressed until it subsides. Even here in the US in larger cities that are viewed as "more tolerant" that is a huge undertaking. (and how stigmatizing it is to be "tolerated" is a whole other video!) Again, thank you!

Yes, stigma. I hope it doesn't get away. You acquired HIV right? It was your own decision that led you to that outcome. How can we accept someone that did something so careless? You should not be given any sympathy, I don't pity you. Its your fault you got into that situation why play the victim card? Why would I give my sympathy to you? When there are children, individuals with diseases that are not preventable or did not have an option to avoid such diseases. YOU had a choice, you knew the risks and now you beg for sympathy? Don't be so entitled, you wouldn't be in that situation if you had been practicing safe sex.

My heart is going to support him. If you take care of yourself and are taking medicine regular. There are likely the virus will be suppressed and can not damage your immune system. There are cases that people with HIV who take medicine regularly are not detected HIV after period of medication.

This guy seems like such a sweet soul. My dad's best friend just revealed he has HIV. After his divorce he went to gay clubs and got caught up. He is now wheelchair bound has severe health issues its only been a year since he found out. I wish ppl would use protection, unbridled passion is not worth your health.

Finally somebody said it. I don't like how nowadays everyone is SO Focus on accepting a person but not in prevention. And this is not the only time i see this. Why nobody talks about the mistakes that leads you to that situation. I do feel sorry for him and i'm glad he is doing well, but prevention is such an important part that they didn't even mentioned. So sad.

I was surprised no one mentioned using protection and practicing safe sex. It doesn't matter how you meet or where you do it, that shouldn't stop you from using protection.

He is a brave man. Being more open about HIV and being gay actually reduces transmission rates. It also increases survival time for people living with HIV. My doctor believes there will be a cure in 5 years. I don't know if she's right about the timeline but I think she may be close. It's not unusual for people to live for decades with HIV is they find the right medicine and are adherent.
