Does anybody remember the Ballpark in Denver Colorado, that place was the effing bomb. The DJ was outstanding, a full-size semi-truck, A big ass swimming pool with a Jacuzzi that was inside of a cave. The staff was very nice, outstanding Free food. I live in that place. Orgy room and Gloryhole rooms were always a highlight. No one went home without a little meat and potatoes, and sometimes gravy. It was like a gay Disneyland, I miss the Ball Park so much!

You have hinted at this...scenario(?) in at least 1 other video, that is, public sex in the public areas of the baths. I have only ever been to the baths in the 'states, so is Canada more accepting of this? I was told decades ago that it is an unwritten rule (and sometimes it is posted) No Sex in Public Spaces. Not that I always adhered to that rule. To sort of add to my confusion, performing in public areas of the baths SEEMS to signal to others that you have no reservations and (apparently?) no standards when it comes to potential partners.

Hey that's a great question! I can only speak to the ones I've been to, but on the whole you will find cis men (both masc and femme)... however... Steamworks offers special nights for trans men and women to be more inclusive... the more progressive bathhouses will be open to anyone

Great sauna tips! I’m not sure I’ll be hitting a sauna anytime soon, though, what with the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and the novel monkeypox virus. I’m still not 100% comfortable with removing my mask indoors and have no clue if people I meet would have gotten their monkeypox vaccine. In other words, unless I’m convinced otherwise, I think it’s best for me to steer clear of saunas for the time being. I’d surely be missing some action. That’s too bad. Patrick....love your videos. My approach to avoid rejection is a light touch on the stomach or arm with a "cute" or "sexy" as I walk by. If I get positive feedback then I'll go back for more. Its a low risk approach that works for me. For those in a room I do struggle. The ones posturing to be taken are obviously easy. The others I'll try for eye contact before small talk. If the eyes meet and there appears to be interest then I'll initiate. In any case I need to see who I am interacting with! Total darkness doesn't work for me. For future videos perhaps further explaining the different play areas would be helpful for those interested in going. You've touched on the video room, but there's the glory hole room, areas with slings and other "furniture" that can all be a lot of fun.

I been going to gay bath house for 25 yrs and some of them were bad like it was very cold than I went another one for some reason I had marks on my back and I didn't meet anyone but I found one been there for 22 yrs it was the best I used to go once every week with bf for four yrs after that I still go by myself every month but for the past 5 yrs there's always a group off young guys go spent the whole day there to see how many guys they pick up and some of them don't shower before go to next one and now it's getting really dirty because some piss or shit in the rooms I cut down going there but I try not to pick up just for spa and sauna

Great video, thank you for those tips. Definitely helps ease some of the concerns I had. I do have a question that I haven't really seen addressed though. My partner and I have been talking about going to our first bathhouse while we're on vacation in a city that has a Steamworks. We're not really sure if we want to play with anyone else but we are hoping to be able to use the experience to get very much in to the mood and maybe play together publicly where people can see or watch. Is that acceptable for couples? Is there any expectation that you have to engage in anything with anyone? If we got a room could we just leave the door open while we played together without the expectation that the open door is an open invite? Do couples even go here? We are so eager to try but don't want to do anything that violates the unwritten rules or etiquette.

Door open means you want people to watch, but they might try to join, you will have to reject them if they try. You have 100% control over what happens, don't feel pressure to play with anyone you don't want to.

I have a hard time rejecting guys because I appreciate that they like me but it does get annoying when they follow you around. I have a look that some guys go crazy for and some just dont like it at all. I'm pretty tall, well built (A bit of body fat but still pretty toned and muscular). light skin latino, with black hair, thin nose, kind of a feminine face (more caucasian) but I'm very masculine. Some guys find this a turn off, others follow me around and get really annoying. So there comes a point where I just get angry and don't even bother being nice. I look away with a mean face and just look disgusted hahaha that usually works to get them off me. The problem is other guys see this, specially bad when one I like sees this and gets turned off by it. It's difficult hahaha I try to behave but it gets very very annoying when everyone follows you around. I actually dont go to bath houses (even though they are fun) because of this.

I went to TO gay pride week 2022 and to Steamworks Fri Sat Sun (after the Eagle lines were too long anywhere else). Had the best pride ever. At SW Fri night was best. Full full full all night long. Even at 7am there were hot guys f.. in the hallway. Everyone seemed to be on some sex drug that made them everything that you, Patrick, would want them to be. Amazing and out of this world. Oh, and also blind bcs I’ve never had so many hot guys so open to getting into me. I even asked a guy in the dry sauna how he was doing (it was 5am and finally there were less than 20 people in the room and I had had my fun and was genuinely curious and wanted just to connect and make us both relax). He was doing ok and then thanked me for asking.

In my experience, the only areas in a bath house where sexual play and orgasm would NOT be appropriate would be the public/social/resting areas which are pretty clearly non-sexual -- such as the lobby, the bar area (if there is one), the vending machine area, the gym, the resting TV lounges tuned to non-sexual television programming, etc. Take your cues from other people: if no one else is playing, if people are engaging in regular conversation, if the lights are turned on high, and if there is no sexual "decor" like porn playing, then it is MOST likely not an area where you should unload. But if the lights are subdued, porn is playing, naked guys are around and frolicking, then play and release to your hearts content. That would include the steamroom, sauna, jacuzzi, showers, porn video rooms, dark rooms, glory hole rooms, hallways, etc. Just be sure to clean up after yourself. 😉🍆💦😁👍🌈

A really helpful video Patrick, well thought out, in regard to some of the worries that all men, especially those that are new to saunas / bathhouses often have. At 70 I am getting too old now to visit them, but in my younger years I made many visits in the UK, and most of Western Europe. I would say to anyone who may be anxious about a first visit, please don’t be. I can only imagine what this would be like. When I was young I was not good looking enough for bath houses or any kind of gay activity for that matter. Now I'm too old. I am 75, pale and lumpy. I have to make a 4 hour round trip to get to a bath house, and that drive can be challenging. Nonetheless, I do it time to time. I returned two weeks ago after a long 28-month absence! The experience usually doesn't match many of my expectations--but I enjoy being in the setting with naked men, and sometimes some nice surprises happen.
