Bible is about same but not a structured learning device. Even so techniques need to be obtained from a Master (Realised Kriya Yogi) or it is very unlikely to be achieved in one lifetime.

I love this mantra, it brings me so much calm centered-ness. At least until my husband decides that he simply must interrupt my chanting to bask in the glow of my good mood and get my loving attention. Having these profound feelings still active within me I can calmly let him know how I feel about his self centered attitude and demanding my hard won time when not caring for everyone else in the house. Chant Om Nama Shivaya mantra 108 times and go to bed within 10. p. m. 5 yrs back i had set alarm at 4.A.M and now i dont need . As we believe 3 to 6 A. M. when the world sleeps ones prayer will be more effective (Divine Time). My Bramin friend (82 years ) also practice like this. (Generally Hindu Temples open at 3 A.M for public called Subrabata Darshan for whole year.) afternoon 1hour sleep and 7 hour sleep enough for a person. Early to bed and early from bed and practice makes a person perfect. Believe in these 2 points. Namaste Bhur is action, Bhuvah is devotion and Svah is knowledge. Bhur means the earth, Bhuvah means firmament and Svah means the heavens. Similarly Bhur represents the state of manifestation', Bhuyah is characteristic of the state of existence, and Svah indicates the state of annihilation. These three words have numerous meanings. But briefly it may be said that when all the objects of the universe, animate and inanimate, are the Gayatri, every object is denoted by oneiword or the .other. Their name is legion. This is the peculiarity and, the glory of the Gayatri. As Bhur Bhuvah Svah signify a variety of applications, their influence on the minds of the devotees is also varying. Bhur means the protector, Bhuvah means the destroyer of distress and Svah means the bestower of happiness. As a worldly mother protects her child, and, as far as possible, strives to remove his distress and provide him happiness, so does the Gayatri in a complete degree and .sublime way. The worldly mother, after all, has her limitations but the puissance of the Gayatri is boundless and infinite. The Gayatri helps her devotees, in every manner, in every quarter, all times and..in all situations. Not only that. The Gayatri promotes, the qualifications, the actions and the nature, of the devotees according to his caste and class, Brahmin, Kshatrya, Vaisha.

@@imadelebih1374 I asked my friend, who is in Hare Krishna movement, he has two initiations, the second one is with this mantra, if the metric correct. He said: 100%. So, there are no many versions of this mantra, there is the only one that is original, in Sanscrit. All the others probably originate from the version of chanting, that is, the melody of singing. But only one is totally metrically correct.
