I obviously have less ephemera because I'm newer to this but I made my covers with paper of what is inside! I.e. floral paper cover for flowers , bird design paper for cover for birds, butterflies paper and then a nature design cover as well... Works well for this ole brain to remember! I love all your ephemera holders! Loved your ideas and this video!!! Thanks for sharing!

A comment from one of your usually silent watchers/bingers' of your fantastic videos :) I've loved watching the creation of your ephemera holders from the beginning and looking forward to making my own! Am so glad I've watched them all, or most, to see your organisational learning process, so I can avoid any problems such as the page protectors not sticking!! ... and organizing by category and designer :) even 'sticky; designers lol. Using tweezers a great idea too! Nik The Booksmith has also recently created a binder form of ephemera holder, so I'm unsure if she's seen these. But she, like you, also has great ideas to easily pulling ephemera out with sliding 'pull-outs' made of card stock... and later adding small zip-lock type baggies in the pockets, to easily grab 'piles' of categories out of the folio for each project. I think if you haven't seen it and are interested, the video is .... Organize Schmorganize... by Nik the Booksmith. She's still working through it I think but the combination of fantastic ideas from both of you and others - just maybe maybe, we'll arrive at a 'solution' best for each of our working styles. The process is fun though until want to stop and start collaging or decorating - how to stop with one project or idea at a time, lol!? Loved watching this, love organising too - it is happy relaxing strangely!! Now ... to start on my flowing collections I didn't realise I had until I couldn't find anything!! I look forward to seeing how this progresses even more!! Thank you :) PS still laughing at the butterfly 'antlers'! lol x

I think I'll try sewing in Ziploc bags. I'll leave the zipper on some to hold tiny items, and cut the zipper tops off most for larger/taller items. I'll use snack, sandwich, and both shapes of quart sizes. I'm taking the pages out of some composition books that already have the covers done to use as the covers. They are a great size. I am drowning in die cuts, stickers and other ephemera. Bits of lace could go in there, too. I'll use scrapbook paper for the pages. I hope it works. I've got to do SOMETHING to corral all of this.

Good afternoon, Gayle. Organizing ephemera. That is what I need to do. With my knee issues of the past few months, my house is a disaster and craft supplies even more so. I would like to make some ephemera books for all the items I've received in Happy Mail since I joined NJJM. But I have other projects, too. I need to also organize my time better, I think. I was looking at the pockets for the ephemera and I'm wondering if a fabric mesh or tulle would work for that, too. I have tons of tulle due to finding a bolt of pink tulle at the Goodwill bins. I may try that for pockets. It might be a bit more durable and you can still see through. Also, I wonder if there was velcro on the inner sides. Sew down the bottom and put the velcro on the inner sides, leaving the pocket open at the top to put things in. Then, when you want to look, pull down the pocket and you can rummage through all of what's inside and then velcro it all back up when you are done. I will have to think this through a bit more and see what I can come up with. Sorry, Gayle, just doing some out loud thinking here. I enjoy organizing things, too. I would go with you to the estate sales just to help organize. It's so fun to go through stuff and go, hey look at this, look at that. Especially old stuff! Or, WOW, I've been looking for that! That's where it is! LOL Like you did yesterday! LOL And when you are all finished, it's so nice for awhile. Until you have to organize once again! LOL Good for your grandson recovering a fumble! My oldest grandson is in Cross Country and has been placing in the top 3 or 4 during races. Fun to go to see them do their thing when I can. I bet you have fun with yours being close by. Hey you live in Montana; I wouldn't doubt that some butterflies have antlers there. LOL Well, great time watching you get organized today! Time for me to go get organized! Thanks for the inspiration. Have a great rest of your day, Gayle. Hugs and God Bless! Sue H. P.S. You can tell when I'm watching from my computer and watching from my tablet. I can really write quite a bit when I'm on my computer. The fingers can go faster than my thoughts do. That ends with some interesting blubbers that thankfully, I can erase and do over again. :)

Gayle, cracking up at “I have...a PEACOCK HEAD” haha. I vote you do a “Misfits Journal” and use only the papers, ephemera and other elements that get pushed to the side because they just don’t fit. Another way to use up leftovers and things we hang onto because we don’t want to waste them yet we don’t seem to ever use them either. 🤔
