Thanks for this vid. I've watched loads of junk journal vids and yours is the first to make it seem simple. As someone on a very limited budget and who can't go anywhere because of the pandemic, limited supplies, i like the fact that you use whatever you have to hand.

You are so good at explaining things, and so encouraging with your words. One of my neighbors gave me a beautiful little 3×4 journal that she found at a craft stand, and thought of me ❤ She knows I make cards, and thought I could maybe do something with it. It's all decorated on the outside; just needs to be filled. I think it will make a perfect "first," and you've given me the courage to jump in and "just do it!"

It's only paper and if you don't like it, tear it up and start over. And yes practice makes perfect! Start small at the beginning until you have learned how to make different ephemera! You are a fantastic teacher Gayle and I've learned a lot from you and i so appreciate your knowledge! Tyfs!

Paper bags and coffee dyed papers and just plain and simple!! Then I found your channel and from here I discovered the Junk Journal Junkies groups and I progressed from there 😊 Also, I'm so glad you showed how to do the corner flip pocket, I use them in almost every journal I make now as they're so fun and practical too but now I know who to credit for them. I have always mentioned you and your channel whenever I show them in my videos as the first time I saw them was here on your channel but I didn't know that Rita did them, I always thought they were one of Patricia Veramontes! **whoops!** xx

Thank you, Gayle! I was one of those wondering "where to start"! And thanks for explaining what a "signature" is! (I Googled it and found nothing that related to what we're doing!!) I feel so much more comfortable, knowing I can do this! (I probably shouldn't - because I'm working on Mandalas & making Christmas Cards for 2019 - a LOT of them - but I love the idea!!) I just started the process of making some "painty papers" for the first time! It's fun!! Don't know where I'll use them ... but they're cool!! Maybe I'll cut them down (when I get finished with them) and put them in a journal that I make!! Or maybe they'll go behind the Mandalas!! Anyway - thanks a lot for this video. I'm going to be going back to it a lot!!! Good Job!!
