I also did a book cover from the Manila envelope, made the inside using some of Tim Holts paper dolls. I’m new to this so I’m really excited when I finish a journal. T hanks for your talking to us when you’re crafting. You are a goof ball. A really nice one though. Enjoy your retreat.

Your hair cutting story cracked me up!! 🤣 Love this journal so pretty!! I'm working on a baby boy journal for my girlfriends daughter. Need to have it done by next week. But today I'm rearranging my craft she shed. My sweet husband surprised me yesterday for my birthday with a beautiful 20 drawer storage dresser from Hobby Lobby. I've been looking at that for a couple months but couldn't justify getting it!! I came home from spending the day with my daughter's and he had put it in my shed. I'm filling it up with my laces and material today after moving a few things around. I'm so excited to head out there and get started!! Have an awesome day...💜

And only once did I forget to put the oops on... but it was behind his ear and he couldn't see how bad it was...lol. but he gets more excited when I get too close to his ear, ya poke a guy one time, and he never let's it go!!! No blood. 🤪 This cover came out gorgeous! I love embossing its just so cool! I realized I should get a cranberry color, I have just basics and a wedding sparkle clear, so far. Have a wonderful retreat. I have been watching you every day but have been unable to like or comment because I had to get a new device and couldn't remember my login since I had so long relied on the old one to automatically do it for me. I finally found the information, so thanks for being patient. I am going back to a project that has been on hold so that I could gather up enough appropriate ephemera through Etsy. It is a novel told in journal form through the journal entries of a young farm wife in the early 1920s who has married an older farmer whom she doesn't really know. The evolution of the marriage is told through hidden letters that she writes him because she doesn't know how to tell him how she really feels. The subplot is the story of a high school English teacher who taught both her and her husband their senior years. Thank you for all that you have taught me about journal making and hidden journal spots. I couldn't be doing this without you.

Snow!!! Wow, that is crazy. We are finally getting warm weather. There is a thunderstorm going on right now. One time I let my daughter cut my son’s hair. He was about 10 and she was about 13. She was always on the cutting edge of fashion. My son kept saying, Mom! Mom! Finally I checked on him. She was doing it really short around the bottom and long on the top. I had to do quite a bit of adjusting. LOL. It would fit right in these days.

Snow! And not a flutter of it, no, a whole lot of it! 😯 But I think Mike would appreciate it, beyond the appreciation of the moisture, because it gives him an excuse to wear a hat! 🤭😂 Too funny! And I just came home from unloading a year and a half worth of hair. Or as my hairdresser said, enough cut off to fill a pillow 😁 I tell you, I got a little teary eyed when after I put my glasses back on and saw myself. Isn’t that funny… I am working on a red/white crazy stitched covered journal. It’s an enormous challenge cause I have just about nothing red. Just a few sheets of plain red paper. I don’t even have red acrylic paint! 🙄😁 Thought about throwing in the towel a few times but made some pages yesterday and who knows… it might all come together and be a winner. Time will tell 🙂 Have an awesome day! Or night, depending when you read this 😉❤️

Speaking of the little Cori strips. I was gathering stuff for my journal I’m working on and I gathered up a couple of pockets that I’d made previously and already sewn around and they’re too big for my journal page so I just cut the sides off to make them smaller and re-stitched and I was going to throw those little strips away that had stitching right down the middle and I stopped myself and I took them and I glued them on to a dyed index card and now I have another pocket with little printed strips with stitching down the middle, thank you Cori.
