I think that this show's dual leads situation is one of the major reasons why it has lasted so long - J2 experience this entire crazy ride together, and can support each other. Most show leads don't get that at all, and a lot of shows end up getting canceled by s8-ish because their lead actor just can't do it anymore. J2 have spoken a lot on how tough it is to do the show, mainly because of the amount of time, and we've seen how good they are at supporting each other with it.

@IWalkWaterRuns the last thing Jared is, is a jerk. He is a person who is all heart. I understand that in the incident you're referring to, he may come off as insensitive, but surely there is more to it than what you can understand. He is one of the most honest individuals you can ever some across, expressing his emotions as they are without any filter. He himself has dealt with difficult and dark emotions and I am sure suicide at some level is something he would dealt with. Maybe it is an initial response from his end that you may see in the light that you do but the intent and space where he maybe coming from might be the complete opposite of how you're perceiving. Different things affect different human beings differently. We should give him the space to be and not judge him so harshly. At the end of the day he is just a person going through life just like the rest of us and doing the best that he can. Personally, both as Sam and as Jared his innocence has touched me.

That whole situation with Prophet and Loss really goes to show everything works out for the best. I hate that Jared had to go through that, but sometimes people just get messed up for no reason and their minds need to reset. It's not his fault, but I know it was hard for him that day and probably talking it about it as well. But the scene that came out of it was so raw and real that it hits me right in the chest every time I watch it. It ended up being such a beautiful scene and it probably wouldn't have been as powerful if Jared wasn't suffering through the same kind of helpless emotions Sam was feeling. And like everybody else, I love love love that Jensen is so supportive; he's always so honest about things like this but he always turns it around to praise others--in this case and as usual, Jared. I've always said this: from what we see of them, Jensen and Jared have the truest friendship I've ever seen between two guys.

It just shows how incredible actor he actually is because we as an audience had no problem seeing Sam's pain in that scene. It was smooth without any pretence and he succeeded to hold us to Sam's reality. Having facing an inexplicable obstacle he didn't stop, he just kept going, giving us one powerful performance after another, hence, we get John-Sam scene and of course, "God bless Kale". What they described is very scary sometimes we don't know how truly stressed our body is when your working non-stop sometimes you need to take a break, even if you can't I've had similar moments where for some reason your mind and body are just not in sync with each other and it's like oh my god wtf is going on. I'm glad that he was able to get through the scene you can tell that it was very emotional to him. He says that it was embarrassed, there's no need for him to be embarrassed he did great.

When Jensen rounded up the answer about Jared not being able to sync his lines with his feelings, saying "it was a unicorn" my mind went: "Well, he doesn't like them... So it resonates with his feelings about that situation too..." And the entire situation is such a perfect example of how superb their friendship/ brotherly love is!! Also it depicts both of their love towards the SPN family: Jareds concern that the crew had to stay as long as the scene isn't good, Jensen comforting the crew that Jared will get it...

This might be lengthy, but I'm gonna try to make it short. I didn't start watching SPN until maybe season 2 or the end of 1. It was just a cool show to take my mind off being a Soldier for an hour each week back then. I didn't know anyone who watched the show. Then somewhere along the way I started noticing people wearing SPN shirts. A good conversation starter while sitting in doctor's offices waiting to be called back. Then Jared came forward with his mental health issues and there was this sudden shift in the fandom. That was when it first hit me that we were all family. Not matter how good or bad my day was, I could watch SPN videos and laugh. I could talk about my day on KZbin comments and there was always so much positivity and encouragement. I have met so many people because of this show and I have yet to make it to a con. I have a really good friend that I met because she had a "Happy #SPN Day" shirt on one September 13th years ago! Fast forward to 2018 and I became a crisis counselor thanks to Random Acts sponsoring me. I love helping people find their light, their plan to survive. It is so profound. It is such an honor to be part of the #SPNFAM. It is one place that will never be divided by politics or any of the craziness that is the actual world. Crazy that the Supernatural world is less crazy than the one we live in. Thank y'all for your awesomeness! ❤❤❤ Also, I've learned a new meaning for the word influence and I'll never think of it the same way! Lol

I just watched prophet and loss again after the question about the performance. It was a great performance and I'd never guess that he was struggling with the performance as much as he did. Its cool that the scene gets more contexts to what goes on behind the scene and how much even a professional is having one of the worst days in his career but powers through it.
