As far back as the 10th century, a national legend of Palestinian origin had been documented by Arabs. The writer al-Masʿūdī told this story in _The History of Time_ when he stated that "among children [of] Canaan are Filasṭīn and Ṣidā, who gave their name to two countries." In Ovid’s Metamorphoses, Book IV, he describes how “Dercetis of Babylon, who, as the Palestinians believe, changed to a fish, all covered with scales, and swims in a pool”. In the proceeding book, he refers to another character as “Palæstina”, a demonym for the Palestinian people, cognate with the English word “Palestinian”. This was in 8CE. In 340 BCE, Aristotle described the Dead Sea in the country he referred to as "Palestine" and Herodotus uses this same toponym in 450 BCE.

I did make a few changes to David's wonderful lyrics. As to the hospital line, it is also true that Israel has targetted hospitals many times before when they have carried out massacres in Gaza. Palestinian fatalities have always been unimaginably higher than Israeli ones. The only holocaust taking place is that of Arabs in Gaza. The Nazis worked with both Zionists and Arabs ethnonationalists. The fellaheen didn't support rich foreigners - Amin al-Husseini fell under this category. It is the Palestinian Arabs who are the primary victims.
