For your ignorance on their Islamic faith, if a Muslim is dying of hunger and only if there is no other food available whatsoever, only pork, then they are allowed to eat just enough to survive. But, if other pure food is available then they would never ever even touch it let alone eat it. Its because saving a human life becomes paramount and they have to eat it out of necessity not choice. Islam is not what you think it is. It is made easy for us. Stop making mockery of their suffering. You don't know when God will test you with the same infliction.
