For a change the reckless behaviour of the incumbent US President Trump has paid off and the de-escalation on Israel-Gaza borders could save further loss of human life especially brought a respite to the helpless innocent Palestinians. There is an end to the disaster and devastation to the Gaza strip. The resilience and the courage of the Palestinian people world has witnessed during all those horrible 15 months of war I am pretty sure the same Palestinians shall overcome the worst ever trauma of their lives and will regain their confidence energy and stamina to building up a more prosperous and powerful Palestine. The Arab countries played pivotal role to broker the deal of ceasefire. During the most tragic and traumatic times the humanistic role of international community, UN and particularly the secretary general Mr Antonio Guterres is admirable. A consensus among the international community for a two state solution is written on the wall. We look forward to the pragmatic leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who is genuinely in a position to negotiate with US the only probable obstacle for speedy and a peaceful two state solution. Also, the solution to Russia-Ukraine crisis doesn't seem too far. Let us also wish and pray our Nation a future that has more inclusive society, growth and prosperity. Wishing wisdom to people in power. N A Farooqi Jan 22, 2025
