Ooh, thanks for reacting to the GazettE! They're my favorite band! The band is from Japan. The "glam" you noticed is because they're from the "Visual kei" (lit. Visual style) scene, which is characterized by flashy visuals. Visuals encompass appearance, as well as stage performance--hence the dramatic, or "operatic" performances. Visual kei bands can be of any genre from the realm of rock/metal. In fact, most visual kei bands are mixed-genre bands, even going towards genre-blending/defying (usually nothing is vanilla). Gazette is a mixed-genre band that performs alt metal, metalcore, nu metal, industrial metal, hard rock, alt rock, pop rock, jazz rock, and (sometimes pop) punk. :) Deux is one of their more melodic alt metal tracks from their mostly alt metal album, Dogma, where the title track, Dogma, leans towards gothic metal. Their latest album, Ninth, released on June 13, is a good entry point into the band, IMO, as the songwriting in it showcases almost all of their directions thus far. I highly recommend you guys give it a listen. :) It's available on itunes, and amazon music. "Falling" is the "prologue track" to Ninth, and an excellent entry to the album. I highly suggest you to watch its music video. :) "Undying" is another great track (also has a music video) suggestion. The track marks the end of their dark age era that began with their album, Dogma. It's another melodic alt metal track, with brilliant shifts throughout. Thanks again for the reaction. Please? BTW, DEUX means two in French and is more pronounced like DUH than dex. This song is about the 2 personalities one can have fighting inside.
