If you use an piece of an eracer it works better to clean the gribe and the corotion.

You are right, it absolutely does! Thanks for the feedback!! As a side note that same concept applies to all cartridge based games like NES/SNES/DMG/GBA etc...those contacts that are inserted into the console can build up all types of corrosion, and an eraser works super well at gently abrading that surface level corrosion off. Just make sure not to use an eraser that's too course grit, or that's housed in metal like the back end of a pencil, as both may scratch up the contacts.

This was an awesome video. Very informative. I've been looking into building refurbished gba sp and stuff like this is awesome for learning and understanding the inners of the sp

Hey how do u stop the plastic power switch from having so much movment mine works fine it just jiggles alot it doesn't feel solid
@sethjuliusable4 жыл бұрын
Well that depends on a few things, but most likely it’s the shell casing, or the physical switch itself not having enough plastic left to produce the “click”, or at least keep the switch in place...It’s the same mechanism that stops it from moving freely. The shell casing could be a cheap replacement lacking a proper mold when made, causing the power switch to just jiggle a lot...or the power switch is a reproduction cheaply made-and lacks that bit of plastic that produces the “click”. Or your gba could just be very worn and old and in need of a new shell casing or power switch. Occasionally I’ve heard that some people also are able to “jam” in the power switch backwards when reassembling their gba. I’ve never tried to do it backwards but when that error freely occurs, from what I understand the switch can move pretty freely on its own. Hope that helps!

I have a weird thing with my game boy advance sp. I thought the battery was dead. The light was red. But I turned on the consoles again and I could continue to play for over an hour ... I've already had this 3 times. Why is this happening? I have an IPS screen from FP and an ez flash omega.
@sethjuliusable3 жыл бұрын
Well, both the ez flash and IPS consume a huge bit of power while active, and in the case of some ez flashes-even when the console is powered off. So my theory is, perhaps the combo of IPS, and ez flash is just too much of a burden on your battery. In terms of power consumption. This may be draining your battery too fast, and potentially too low. Does the console get hot/warm during play? Also do you have the original battery in it still? Does the light turn green immediately upon plugging in a charger during these issues you’re having?
@ztejstronymarcin3 жыл бұрын
@@sethjuliusable When I play, the console does not get hot, even if I play for several hours non-stop. When connected to the charger, it normally charges a little over 3 hours. I have a new battery, apparently refurbished. Today I had a green color, after some time (I don't know, 3-4 hours) it turned red, I played for a while and finally the console turned off. I turned it on again, it was already red, the console worked for about an hour and then it turned off normally every few moments.

@@enolacandelaria6506 I sent the console back to the seller, and from what I found out, he changed the entire console board and everything has been working since then.
