Alright well its clear to everyone who reads your comment that you dont know shit on this subject , you don't get how easy these ships can end up colliding with each other and how hard it is to stop them once they get going , or even make the wrong turn last minute ( then start drifting ) I mean these huge ass giant boats, they don't just stop in place when the brakes are applied . It's not like a car . You know how much these things weigh ? There's no traction on the seas either , you can't just pull an E-brake to make a *stop* 😂 The Titanic sure wouldve made great use of a thing like that if it existed....

If you need an idea of just how monumental the task of trying to not get ships to collide when there already on the course to do so even with crews of both ships knowing what will happen and attempt to correct its damn near impossible. Watch a video on the Halifax disaster both ships tried to correct and couldn't and the results was an almost 1.2 mile blast radius because of SS Mont-Blanc's cargo
