In a way grand vane gives me hope for a decent Beatrix in the future because it seems they are improving characters that need low health to be useful

I appreciate the objective review of the weapon and character. Didn't expect to see Vane (Grand), especially since most people were expecting Raphael for the Primarch passive boost. From what I've seen, the community's response to Vane's release was quite negative because he's a niche character due to being a superboss destroyer (e.g. Siegfried, NM200+250). Any other fights in the game have a very difficult time when it comes to activating his passive. While it is a bit sad that he's not a character you can brainlessly slot in any scenario for the Vane fans out there, myself included, he dominates the superboss destroyer niche and that should not be understated in the slightest. The debuff, dispel and tanking utility he brings to fights gives you many turns of invincibility and the self-buffs from his S3 turn him into a very strong auto attacker that mows down self-buffing HP sponges. On Swan; I've had a lot of fun using it in Siegfried because Wind's roster has many accessible dispels that activate automatically. So far I believe that the only notable double dispel character is Shion, but most of the other dispel utility units just have a single one. This allows Swan's ~8mil nuke to proc several times in one turn (up to 3 in Siegfried), and it synergizes fantastically with characters that are good yet underrated characters that have faded into the background since recent releases like Enyo because Trampling Spear is about ~5mil after each dispel. Shieldsworn makes fantastic manual and full auto usage out of Swan while Lumberjack's Balmy Song Breeze turns this weapon into a self-sustaining menace while also providing a party-wide veil effect. Most of these things are fairly niche to Siegfried and higher-difficulty GW fights, but they are quite useful. It just comes down to whether the boss buffs itself or not, which has been a reliable trend with Earth element bosses. All in all, quite happy about Vane retaining his kit identity despite him being more of a niche Grand for harder fights. Here's to hoping that the CCW raids won't punish the usage of all-ally sub characters to cheese mechanics.

When I took a look at his kit I thought he would be really good for HL raids, but seeing how he performs in Siegfried and Hexa just makes it clear that he’s mostly outperformed by the other wind HL characters. He’ll probably be nice for GW NM200 & NM250 FA, but that much alone isn’t worth a spark tbh.

As a blazing mistral user can confirm that if you dispel multiple buffs with the same action you only get one nuke

Do you mean uncapping or levelling a summon? Uncapping a summon requires additional copies of the summon or a sunstone. Sunstones should however only be used for very valuable summons as they are exceedingly rare. Levelling a summon can be done simply by using a Scarlet Vessel. gbf.wiki/Scarlet_Vessel These can be gained by reserving R rarity summons and Upgrader summons with "EXP boost" on the icon like gbf.wiki/Angel_Queen (more can be found at the bottom of the page)

Vane’s kit makes sense to his character, but it’s lacking something that makes me more excited to use him. Ramp up, conditional buffs are never super fun to use imo.

Vane is Vane, they just give him the title 'Grand'. Back to waiting for Belial until a better choice cathes my eye.

I've always wanted grand Vane but I'm really disappointed with him and his performance.
