I was part of a LE training class last yr and was blown away how bad they shot and didn’t even care. I realized that I can’t depend on Le to save me so I’ve been training and learning from everyone I can it’s scary to think le don’t train they just punch in and punch out

We filmed this a month ago but haven't been able to get to the range with it yet and it's killing me! Stupid weather and range closures! We have time this weekend but with 1/2" of ice on the roads and freezing rain there's no way we're heading up and down curvy hills to hit the range this weekend :(

I love the oz9 frame (I have one with a couple 34 slides). I actually really like the SCT frame just as much. I'd like to see someone make a glock frame like the 365 macro. I have a micro comp on a 19 slide that seems to work ok. If zev was to come out with a 48x that took shield arms mags, I'd buy the frame in a heartbeat (the 19 is a bit too thick for my wife).

Interestingly enough Shadow Systems was interested in being on the channel, then backed out. Maybe it was their barrel issues.

Over the years I've come to grow suspicious of compa ies who do not want to be on the channel. We treat every firearm equally, and dive as deeply as we need to to u dersrand design intent and performance. When a company prefers channels that make everything look "cool" or creates montages without really showing anything... that tells me the guns may not be all they're hyped to be.

I have,but only at a demo. Shadow Systems originally was going to send something for review, then withdrew when they had the barrel issues and never restarted contact.

Cant remeber if you chronograph in shooting impressions. But I'm curious to see how much gas is robbed from all those ports and what the effect is on velocity. Gonna be a hell of a fire ball with nato loads

Very nice design. Thanks for sharing. Can you mention your experience with 1) Velocity with this type barrel design since the ports are "seemingly" shortening the norm of a G19 barrel ability when other ports are farther out and 2) Visibility of front sight picture when firing, due to porting placement and gases etc escaping with this placement over other comps that are out front of the sight.

Zev is missing out selling this slide and barrel combo. Radian doesn’t have their comp out for gen3 yet. Not everyone wants to buy a new holster. The island comp barrel isn’t new, I saw it on 1911s 25-30 years ago.

There may he powder that doesn't finish burning by the time the bullet passes the first port, but pistol powder burns pretty quickly. The interesting test will be to see how much velocity is lost.

@@GBGuns - I’ve not tried a Zev, mostly because the features don’t justify the cost of it. I love my Bul Armory SAS Ultra II and my Grand Power X-Caliber. My Tanfoglio, although larger than the Zev, would outshoot it any day of the week and is still $300-400 less.
