Gary Lineker has been presenting MotD for 25 years plus commenting on any major football event. But at roughly 2 hours (sometimes less) per programme - whichever way it's looked at, it's a part time job of nine months per season at almost £28k+ per episode. To bring his salary into perspective, the UK government considers a fair living wage for a single person ANNUALLY to be £29,500k. That's only £1,500k more in a year than Gary Lineker takes in two hours. Even if he takes a cut in salary - £1m is still a hefty income for doing little more than sitting in a chair, chatting about men who kick a ball.
